I think netflix is more so upto netflix than anyone else.

I'd like to see friend request by username, virtual console, bluetooth headset support and third party usb hub support.

Oh also being able to back up/transfer saves and some sort of a community system.

You are right in the sense that the final decision is up to the owner, still even if they are onboard and I can't see why would they pass up a chance to enlarge their subscription base, It becomes more a question of when, so where netflix sits on Nintendo's list of priorities will have an bearing on exactly how long we have to wait . even netflix being 3DS doesn't give us much indication of how Nintendo regards it.
