Where did all the Trump supporters go? I wanted to have some more fun.

They are taking him "literally but not seriously"... or was it "seriously but not literally"? Neither works anymore

figuratively not literally

I love people doubting his claim -- you have so many forms of corroborating evidence that his conversations and subsequently his dealings are recorded, analyzed and picked through.    Now likely the more unprovable portion of his claim was that Obama "ordered" these or was aware of these (Which if you're being logical, he most assuredly was, it's just not provable).

Now the Russian angle -- what a laughable joke.

If you can still wear your Chinese made "Make America Great Again" cap, I've got some bad news regarding your cerebral cortex.

Unfortunately,  you're so inundated with leftist propaganda that you cannot be saved.  The hats aren't made in China.

They were mainly recording the Russian ambassador which is why Flynn had to step down.  Trump tower was never tapped and if it was then it would have to go through the FISA court.

That was a hilarious meeting.

FBI and NSA make it clear - there was no wire tapping.
FBI makes it clear -they are investing russians connections.

Gowdy trying so very, very hard. Even going to the point of trying to imply that Obama is the leaker..

Himes actually calls out Trump MID MEETING about his tweet ABOUT the meeting. It was meeting inception.

And the part I didn't see until later - the trainwreck that is Mr Conaway. If someone has to explain how a two party system works - you shouldn't be in congress. You shouldn't be in politics.

edit: and lets not forget the desperate "doubling down" by trying to clame that the UK is now involved as well.

Operative word is 'wiretapping' -- which if you want to be literal can have a very, specific and narrow definition.  The assumption by most readers would be spying or 'watching' him, his team and his associates through any and all means.

Just go read his four tweets that brought this shitstorm.  He mentions wire tapping in the first two tweets and then the last tweets he mentions phone in both tweets.  You know what that implys to me.  He is stating that his phones were tapped.  To makes matters worse in his last tweet he put another p on the word tap.  So perhaps he was just up on a late night binger and decided to get on twitter before he passed out.  He basically needs to get off twitter because this is getting embarrassing.

There's been plenty of whispers that there were the two FISA court requests submitted, especially within the Wikileaks channels.   You have information coming out on a daily basis that the NSA is able to essentially record your entire presence digitally at this point.   As I said in the OP though, it's almost assured that it occurred and it occurred at least in part for political motive and gain, it will simply be likely hard to prove that direct connection.

Similarly, if there was actual meat to the Russian narrative, it would have been released by now.

"Incidental surveiliance" sure would be coincidental don't you think?

Trump doesn't drink --

The point is that the mechanisms between the actual original meaning of wire tapping and the current iteration are markedly different.  They can still 'Wiretap' your phone for all intents and purposes and still claim that they aren't "Wiretapping" you.    (See James Clapper and his straight-forward lies).

There's definitely more than meets the eye here.  You may find tweeting embarrassing, I find it refreshing to not have a political robot be our leader.

Well I'd take Chuck Norris over Trump anyday.

As for the video.  I think his team was looked at because some of them were shady people like Paul Manfort.  I don't think Trump phones were tapped though.

I agree that it wasn't necessarily originated from just wiretapping Trump (and perhaps the connections of some, like Manafort) led to justification of exploring further.

I do think that the potential and likelihood for poltical based overreach is too great at this point though.   And it's not like Obama wasn't caught red handed spying on other people (See Germany for example).  I don't think it's a stretch to assume it being done at least in part due to politics.  Let's keep in mind that Obama is essentially the first President to have full power with the Patriot act at his disposal.

This is Bill Binney, he's not some quack out of left field.  Regardless of your poltical stance,  I think this level of information capturing to be worrisome.
