I also don't believe that Kart, Mario, Splatoon, etc will do much. WiiU had all of that, and well, yeah .. no help.

A major difference between Wii U and Switch is the pacing of these games.

With Wii U the truly major games were like 6 months apart from one another.

New Super Mario/Nintendo Land-Nov 2012

Mario 3D World-Nov 2013

Mario Kart 8-May 2014

Smash Bros U-Nov 2014

Splatoon-May 2015

Mario Maker-Sept 2015

These were the really major releases for Wii U (each sold 5 million or close to it).

Switch on the other hand has

Zelda-March

Mario Kart-April

Splatoon-July

3D Mario-Nov

Thats 4 games within 9 months with a very high probability of selling over 5 million.

I don't think it's that quiet, but I know what you mean. Compare it to how talked about the wii was, for example.

Well i guess a quiet launch didnt stop it from going into an EXPLOSION of sales :D

Is this what VGChartz is going to be now? Nintendo fans necrobumping of people having legitimate concerns over Nintendo selling a $300 handheld portable as some kind of smarmy "I told you so" moment?

The Switch isn't even a year old. It's got a long ways to go, and Nintendo still has to play a lot of its cards right in order to keep the momentum going and built on the initial success.

Every massively wrong prediction gets necrobumped, this has nothing to do with Nintendo.

Like a dozen Wii U/3DS prediction threads got necrobumped when it became evident they would not come close to those sales.

I'm predicting PS4 will flop so hard SEGA will come back and release a new Dreamcast by 2015. SEGA will buy Nintendo and make them develop good Sonic games. This WILL happen by 2015!

Its a hybrid, not a handheld. And does the Switch success bother you?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
