For any of you have trouble taking the straps off of the joycon when its put on properlyway, you can actually take it off without pressing the release button. Just make sure that the lock button is unlocked.

What do you mean? First time I took one off, I didn't press the release button and it came off (with extra some force). You could be right in that respect. Afterwards I taken them off while pressing the release button, just as hard to take them off.

In the end I'm not seeing an advantage of the straps, just maybe for Arms. Snipper clips the joycons themselves work perfectly.

I heard there are people reporting problems with the D-pad of the pro controller.

God bless You.

Just took the Switch out of the dock, put it close to my laptop for comparison. I did connect in this spot, my laptop shows 4/5 bars signal strength, Switch shows zero.

Switch next to my laptop gets 8.2 mbps down/ 4.6 mbps up, Laptop gets 25 mbps down / 2.3 mbps up.
Switch next to my wifi modem gets 36.5 mbps down / 8 mbps up, Laptop 47.2 mbps down/ 11 mbps up.
Switch nest to to tv docked gets 4.3 mbps down / 2 mbps up, Laptop 25 mbps down / 1.3 mbps up.

Looks like Switch has a slightly better transmitter than my laptop, yet a far worse receiver. It did stay connected this time in the dock, yet for downloads put it next to the modem!

A long one ago, I had issues with my 3DS connecting to the internet. It kept disconnecting. I wound up buying a Netgear router and never had in issue, again. In my gameroom alone, there's a smart TV, laptop, Vita, 3DS, PC, and five consoles not including the Switch. No connection issues.

I'll put the switch next to the router when I want to download something instead of buying a router consuming power 24/7 for one device :)

Btw does anyone else notice the gyroscopic drift on the joy-cons? Often when I'm aiming with the bow the target reticule slowly drifts to the left, and with the ball in maze puzzle the orientation of the controller was almost 90 degrees off after a minute. I guess there's no magnetic sensor in them or they don't work.

There's a wired connection that you can buy, too. Not sure how well it works, though.

When Magnesis becomes unusable as a weapon in BoTW I recalibrate the motion control on the joycons.

Pretty disappointed in Switch's motion control so far.

I mean the white button oposite to the plus/minus symbols on the straps.

I'm having software related issues.

Would be nice if I could opt-out of certain eShop news updates... don't understand Japanese and it messes up the news feed.

Is there a way to change the joycons orientation from grip/vertical to horizontal without going all the way into the controller menu? Tried pressing SR+SL and that didn't sync them. Is there a faster way to change the grip menu? It should be in the quick menu!

Yeah, you have to make sure that that white lock is unlocked.

Hmm, must have been sleepy when I replied that since I thought you meant the release button on the joycons.

Yeah the one thing that i have noticed with all of the switches i have tried. The motion control sucks.

Almost to the point where it is too annoying to play.

....almost...

....

Dunno if you want to call it an issue, yet apparently Switch is limited to sub UHS-I speeds with sd cards.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-best-microsd-cards-for-switch-loading-time-comparison
The max read speed is somewhere below 80 MB/s. Internal storage is a bit faster, game cards are the slowest.
