Nintendo does a few games that score really high,... they have quality, they just lack quantity.

The PS4 probably already has like 200 titles that are 80+ though.
When will the Switch have 200 games scored 80+ ?

If the VC doesn't launch, probably never ^^

Nintendo has a staggering 6 titles at 97 or above!

Sega has Soul Caliber and NFL2K1 while Microsoft has Halo but supprisingly, no exclusives from Sony consoles.

With that being said, do you think Sony will EVER (PS4, PS5, PS6...) have an exclusive score 97 or above?

Here's the chart if you want to take a look for youself: http://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/score/metascore/all/all/filtered?sort=desc

**Edited thread to clarify for people who didn't understand**

Well, after this additional edit it's clear as day what this thread is about. The original version of the thread already pursued an agenda with iffy methodology, but since that didn't work, you upped the ante even more.

At this point you deserve to get flamed to the point that you'll beg the mods to lock your thread and ban you to put you out of your misery.

You made it clear you didn't think multiplats should be on the list so I dropped them and was left with 10 exclusive games that had a score of 97+.  I edited this thread to reflect that and now you're still upset.  SInce there is obviously no pleasing you maybe you should just stop commenting?

I think Sony is still rather immature to make games at that level. The Last of Us as an example was made reusing the uncharted engine that had already been used in three other games. It was refined as hell, but it wasn't anything new. The upper tiers of metacritic are reserved for boundary breakers. Risk takers. Sony makes great games, but they don't take risks.

it's funny how you say that when the majority of those 97+ games are not taking risks or doing anything new.

and also. littlebigplanet says hi.

Of course this thread had to be made after Zelda metacritic to bash on Playstation. lol

Probably not. Skewed Nintendo love give their games some excessively higher scores. Skewed Sony hate give their games some excessively lower scores.

Guess not, but to be honest the NIntendo first party games just have such magic, and I don't think any games can even compare to the magic that they have.

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

lol pretty oddly specific, 97 meta! Just ignore the 96 meta Uncharted 2. It's all well and good to have a game that resonates with critics, but at the end of the day these are all businesses. Which is why well be getting CoD games for another decade yet no matter how much BF fans pretend to be CoD fans and smack that dislike button and critics score BF higher.

Sony has always been the third party console. Take PS4 for example. Only one first party exclusive (excluding old ports) has sold more than 2 million copies. It's just not something that sells on the whole based on first party games. If you took it's third party games away, like Nintendo, it would probably have been DOA.

Probably not, the only Sony exclusive to get close is Uncharted 2 at 96 the rest are mostly Nintendo and GTA games.

The real question is will there ever be any other game to beat (or even reach) Ocarina of Time's score of 99?
