Dang Nintendo, you needed to lower the price of this thing. Not everyone is going to want to spend $300+ just for Zelda.

The fact that IGN hates it makes me happy. I'm pre-ordering two now.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

"Even if the Switch’s questionable internals and control issues don’t dissuade you from using it like a gaming console, it suffers numerous other issues and inconveniences when it’s hooked up to your TV. The most glaring is that there is no way to lay the system on its side while docked, which is particularly irritating given that the game card slot, headphone jack, headphone volume controls, and power button are all along the top of the system. If you, like many people, keep your consoles in an entertainment system of some kind with shelves, there simply isn’t a convenient way to get to any of this stuff."

"Because that USB-C port is on the bottom of the tablet, there’s an odd conflict: you cannot charge the Switch if you’ve propped it up with its built-in (and rather flimsy) kickstand as a shared screen for multiplayer games like Super Bomberman R, where up to four people can play with one Joy-Con a piece. It’s not a massive deal, but it highlights the push and pull that typifies the system: it’s trying to be so many things at once that it can’t pull any of them off perfectly."

Tough reviewer, hes finding alot of faults with it.

He gave it a 6.7 out of 10 score.

Pretty much. Real Nintendo fans trust IGN about as much as they trust EA.

This review is absolutely not for Nintendo fans though (who will buy the console anyway), but is a lot more interesting for other IGN readers.

A 6.7 score (not final) seems weirdly low (even if most of what he says has been said more or less strongly by others before), we'll see what the final score will be and what other reviewers will say.

I guess we'll see how reception to the Switch pans out. The main problem obviously is the lack of releases at launch, especially considering that the big game is a multi-platform title.

Ah, IGN

Nintendo made a bold move with that console. Of course it wasn't going to please everybody but I'm feeling like they're taking the right path. Kotaku loves it, and CNET also.

So far the most negative review, and to be honest it's not that bad in my opinion. Considering that Vincent Ingenito is not a nintendo fan and is very cynical about Nintendo. Some valid points and some that are dumb in my opinion, Not portable enough? well I guess my ipad and my laptop are not portable enough, comparing the power to the ps4 and xbox one is dumb too considering the concept and form factor (and price) but overall not that bad for a negative review. Doesn't sound like a "hater" sounds like someone who doesn't like the system.

But I have to say, the score part is a joke. "not a final score but I will say 6.7" just wait until the final review man.

I prefer the video review that the digital foundry made is much more complete.

(=^・ω・^=) Kuroneko S2 - Ore no Imouto - SteamMyAnimeList and Twitter - PSN: Gustavo_Valim - Switch FC: 6390-8693-0129 (=^・ω・^=)

I always thought that this weird thing happens with Nintendo consoles later. When they're disliked the most by the hardcore gaming community, the more it sells XDD.

Any and all system reviews at this point are pretty pointless, imo.

There is so much that is not even doable for the reviewers. The online is basically non existent. There is a day 1 patch for stuff.

It's like reviewing an MMO. You can't really have a decent review until the thing is out for a few months. And don't bring in the argument that they need a review now for those people to know if they want to buy one now or not. The first few months of a system have no trouble selling well.
