Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Introducing Xbox Game Pass: Unlimited Access to More Than 100 Games

That sounds neat, need to see the full line-up of games mind you but still I would be very interested if a similar service came to PlayStation or Win7. Even just using it as a digital "rental" service there could be a lot of value in this for people, more demos/free trials would be better of course but we are where we are and I'm not gonna turn my nose up at more options for consumers.

Cool. I like it more than PS Now. For the right customer, that's pretty nice. I would still greet a similar service on PS platforms with apathy. That's just me though.

It doesnt help that those games have to be streamed on PSN.

Yep. Exactly. That's why I think this is better.

so it's like PSNow but downloading instead of streaming. Will they stop doing games with Gold I wonder?

I am Iron Man

More subscriptions, more games, 2 things I need less of.
It's great value if you just got a console and don't have any particular interests yet. For me it would be like Netflix, browse for half an hour, add shit to my list, never watch it :/ I should cancel Netflix again, basically paying $9.99 a month to browse a menu, hmm.

Not a fan of games as a service, to be honest. Having your collection behind a paywall doesn't sound desirable to me.

But there is still an option for people that want to own the games, buy the games.

This is merely an option and a damn good one. Especially if you recently bought a X1 and want access to many games. I imagine consoles will be bundled with access to this service for a short period of time.

No Brainer for anyone picking up an Xbox One: HALO 5, Sunset Overdrive, GEARS ultimate...plus hundred plus other games....for $10?

Nice move I think. More content options for Xbox users. Combined with EA Access it's great.

PC I i7 3770K @4.5Ghz I 16GB 2400Mhz I GTX 980Ti FTW

Consoles I PS4 Pro I Xbox One S 2TB I Wii U I Xbox 360 S

I wonder if this forced Sony to change their minds about EA Access. Both it and this new service, at least the way it's described, poo all over PS Now. Or maybe they alter PS Now to be something similar to this, removing the whole streaming junk. Or at least make it optional.

And with that price..... That is a really Great thing to include from MS!

Games with Gold isn't going anywhere, its an incentive for people to have Gold accounts and I doubt it cost much to offer modest selling content for a month. Many subscribers don't even download the games.

The only thing this has in commone with PS Now is a subscription gives you access to games, services like this existed before PS Now. This is objectively better than streaming and its not just 7th gen games, but it would be great if there was a streaming option for PC.

This is pretty cool and something that i would like to see Nintendo do with the virtual console.
