Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Introducing Xbox Game Pass: Unlimited Access to More Than 100 Games

Having not looked through the actual list of games...

This is 2x the cost of Live and giving you access to what is likely the same games that became free through Live previously and/or likely to be free at some point.

I would only see this as a good deal if it included games that did not become part of Live or for those who just joined and wanted a bunch of older games but missed them when they were free on live.

Though I guess, if this moves to being available on PC where you don't need an Xbox, that would be interesting.

Two things.

1. I think M$ is counting on this bringing a lot of new people into the Xbox ecosystem. This would be a great deal for them.

2. Of the ten or so games they revealed, only one that I know of was previously free (Fable III). And I'm not even 100% sure of that one. Could be a good sign.

Only fable 3 has been a gwg offering so far. It was one of the first, if not the first. A lot of people probably missed out on it.

With 100 games a month, there's bound to be some overlap of titles.

I don't think we know enough but I always figured they would rotate a few titles out at a time.

They said exactly that.

Meaning there is a chance that the game I'm playing in the catalog can be shuffled out or remain after a month.

okay I think I got the gist of it. Thanks guys.

This is actually a really good deal. I wonder if it will have Lost odyssey/Blue Dragon on it? I'd subscribe alone just to play those two games! To bad I don't have an xbone though, hopefully it comes to PC :P

I ended up with the free copy of Fable 3. Also have the game on PC and on Disc... So meh.

But yes, it was free.

There was another game that Microsoft gave away for free.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was given away free to all Gold users after Microsoft's E3 2016 Xbox Press Conference which showed off Tekken 7.

I'd love to try blue dragon. I missed several of the jrpgs on the 360. They're bound to be there at some point.
