Forums - Politics Discussion - Trump: ‘Nobody knew that health care could be so complicated’

"Republicans should let Obamacare “implode”"

 - Trump just admitted he would let people die, if he though he was to gain somepolitical points for it... not really surprising, what's surprising is that he says it out loud :-/ negating much of the political gain.

 - also, big pharma and  the insurers will just go even more wild knowing nobody will enforce any aspect of the aca.

 - Literally everybody who pays attention to healthcare knows how complex it really is :-/ that guy should not be running anything!

Haaaaaa.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Trump promised full coverage for all at lower costs. Is he now figuring out that this is not achievable?

Watch this it's hilarious and informative.

“The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.” - Bertrand Russell

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

Purposefully letting something go to shit to have more to blame the other party for. Oh, how lovely.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

We focus too much on how we're going to fund health care, and too little on improving health. By some estimates, every dollar spent on health education saves $10 in health care. Even if it was dollar for dollar it'd be worth doing. Some people will always take care of their health, and some people will never make their health a priority, but there is a group in the middle that's willing to be educated/convinced.

How do countries like Switzerland and Canada have effective healthcare systems and we are stuck in such a mess? It's not like it is impossible.

Only hypothesis I have is that the capitalistic management of the healthcare in the US is destroying us. I recall seeing a company raise the price of a pill from $13 to $700 for no significant reason

Because those countries are all white.

People tend to be more willing to pay for social welfare programs when it benefits people who look like them.

I wanted to say that our politicians are serving two masters but regular citizens have no chance against corporations' dollars.

lmfao I just, can't.

He's talking about the paperwork/regulation, it's funny how people completely missed this.

Shouldn't a presidential nominee have an idea of the regulations and paperwork he'll need to overcome to establish a new health care plan?
