Forums - Gaming Discussion - Middle-earth: Shadow of War PC Requirements

Now here is a nice surprise. Warner Bros and Monolith have revealed the official PC requirements for Middle Earth: Shadow of War. According to the PC specs, PC gamers will at least need a modern-day quad-core with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX670 or an AMD Radeon HD 7950.

Monolith recommends an Intel i7-3770 with 16GB of RAM, Windows 10 and an NVIDIA  GeForce GTX970 or a GeForce GTX1060. For AMD owners, Monolith recommends a Radeon R9 290X or a Radeon RX 480.

Middle Earth: Shadow of War is currently planned for an August 25th release, and here are its PC requirements:

MINIMUM:

  •
    • OS: Windows 7 SP1 with Platform Update for Windows 7
    • Processor: Intel i5- 2550K, 3.4 GHz
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GeForce 670 | Radeon HD 7950
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 60 GB available space

RECOMMENDED:

  •
    • OS: Windows 10 version 14393.102 or higher required
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GeForce 970 or GeForce 1060 | Radeon R9 290X or Radeon RX 480
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 60 GB available space

The recommended spec doesn't seem that high, though I'll get by with my rig as is, and I managed to get by with battlefront, BF1 and other titles that were asking for 16gb RAM.

Hoping it packs some decent visuals though. The first one made one of my friends upgrade from his old 680 to a GTX 980 shortly after release.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

That's pretty minimums, once again.

The mins are a bit higher than the usual console ports, that usually ask for a GTX 660/HD 7870.

Still, what surprises me are the recommended specs, specially considering that the first game asked for a card with 6GB of VRAM to be able to use the highest quality textures.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

16 GB RAM is not a good sign, recommended cpus and gpus are fine.

The mins are too high.

Apparently won't run on Ryzen^^

Hmm, looks like my 5 year old graphics card is finally now on the low end. GTX670 is what I have. My other specs are all above recomended.  Might have to do a graphics upgrade one of these days.
