It's not the amount of space that matters, but how you use the space.

I wonder what Nintendo will do with all the space they have, they picked the same area as last year and their booth was Enormous, especially given they only brought Zelda at E3...

Wow, if they hadn't spent the last several months flapping their gums about Scorpio, you would think they were gearing up to do what Nintendo did at E3 2013 and duck while the big boys have it out on the big stage. I mean seriously, I kinda understand not wanting to share space with them but to have a booth no bigger than the rank and file AAA publishers to the point I didn't even notice they were there until I took a second look? Wow...

E3 2017 will be vital for Nintendo to maintain momentum towards the holidays. The Switch needs to have a great first year. Or even better. I think Nintendo gets it this time.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

It's the same floor space as every year for Nintendo. But nothing can surpass to me last year. An entire day of Zelda with pleasant surprises at every minute

Well you show what you got and last year Zelda was the big thing.

This year, I would expect the centepiece to obviously be Super Mario Odyssey.  But I anticipate there will be considerable space given to Splatoon 2 as well if it isn't out by E3.  Also expect Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Fire Emblem Warriors to get good floor space too.  Fire Emblem Switch and Shin Megami Tensei will probably get trailers and some kind of display but no gameplay.  Nintendo has the guns to put on quite a show and a display.

Funny thing. I used the topic search with "Dean Hall" to see if anyone has made a tread about the recent cancellation of his game ION that he announced at Microsoft's 2015 E3 Press conference. This tread was on top of the search.

Coincidence, or Irony? You be the judge :D

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

I wont be surprised if the reason MS choose to go smaller this year is if they convinced third party developer to show off their upcoming games on Scorpio, meanwhile also showcasing the system which will give scorpio much larger exposure out of all three.

E3 2017 Floor Plans Indicate Big Nintendo Presentation, but what’s with Microsoft?

Expect a a Very Jarring Attempt to Make It into Sony or Nintendo Switch Showings at E3 2017

2017 is geared to be a big year for E3, and definitely a unique one. As some of you have no doubt heard, this year’s E3 will be available to the public for the first time. All you need to do is buy a ticket to get access to the biggest gaming convention in the world. And there’s plenty to spectate with Nintendo promising more for Nintendo Switch, Sony to deliver a big blast as ever, and Microsoft to make a comeback with Scorpio. But check out these floor plans.

Much thanks to NeoGAF user Rösti and his proper acquisition of these E3 2017 floor plans. While there’s definitely plenty of interesting allocations of space, the most curious might be that of the big three. Naturally, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have their reserved plots. But one might ask, what’s with Microsoft’s meager space compared to the rest? This year they’re located in the South Hall as opposed to the usual West. We already know Xbox’s plans for the Scorpio, which is huge, yet Sony and Nintendo Switch seriously seem more prepared for this event, judging by all that square footage on their side. Side note: both Nintendo and Sony are in the West Hall, side-by-side, so it’s going to be swamped on the ground floor.

We are still to ponder what developers and publishers will have to showcase at this year’s E3. But anticipation levels are high. Especially the case when considering Nintendo of America’s allotted space. Rösti even mentioned the chance of Nintendo reserving the theater as well. Likely. Expect more Nintendo Switch games, some Xbox One exclusives, and new endeavors for PlayStation 4.

So what are your thoughts on this year’s E3 and the floor plans? We are very curious to know your anticipation. Feel free to comment down below. And for more of the latest gaming news, keep updated with COGconnected. Happy gaming.
