Multiculturalism has worked all my life, we have risen to higher points than any monoculture society ever could. Wealth, technology, and society, we are rich in it all. We give the opportunity for every person to achieve their greatest potential, and our cities are the envy of the world.

It is no coincidence that the multicultural cities are the greatest of the western world, and the bumpkinized monoculture are the lowest stratum. 

We have tried the violent nationalist experiment you advocate  before, and to put it mildly, we became the most shameful society of modern history. It ultimately left our Europe in shambles, and it was through progressive multiculturalism that we enriched ourselves and grew quickly to high wealth and greatness.

In the end, multiculturalism is a sign of greatness and reproduces greatness. Monoculturalism is a sign of failure and bumpkinization. Aggressive monocultural nationalism is a catalyst for the decline and destruction of civilization.

It also depends on what cultures we're talking about. Not all cultures are equal. Some cultures are able to mix well with each other due to similarities in principles while others clash because their values are radically different. Multiculturalism only works if the co-existing cultures are principly similar or if the differences are limited to only certain aspects such as art, cuisine, and music.

Right, right. Ghettos, rape culture, terrorism, all of this and more. You know Europe was a mostly homogenous society for 1000s of years, and guess what, that was the society that led to the renaissance, the creation of democracy, as well as countless other inventions and people that advanced the world. On the other hand, a "multicultural" middle east faces civil war, ethnic tentions, religous wars, and lots of other crap that we inport into our society. Just look at Yugoslavia. A country that decends into many different wars, a "multicultural" society that kills one another because they can't agree on anything. But no, thats different! This wasn't a problem in Europe a few decades ago. You know, before "multiculturalism". :)

I believe nowdays Lebanon has all sorts of crazy quota systems to keep both of the major religions 'happy'.Europe will end up the same way.

As for London, it has had to deal with terrorism since the 1800s, long before multicultural society arose. Londoners pretty much accept that it will happen at some point but also realise we're far less likely to die of terrorism than being hit by a car. 

Also, Yugoslavia isn't what I would call "multicultural" as the term is associated with a degree of integration, whereas Yugoslavia is a culture of separate nationalist idealogues creating artificial tensions. Very much the monoculture Jumpin was advocating against.

I will partially concede your point on London terrorism, but despite that, almost all terrorism committed in London in the 21st century was islamic terrorism. Hardly a good sign, eh? And Yugoslavia was a mix of many ethnic groups, so they were very "multicultural". That didn't turn out well when people started to realize they hated one another. I don't see why it would be different in Western nations, espcially if people can't be integrated. Ghettos are becoming a big problem in Western European cities, so I am very troubled indeed.

And as for your point about Europe being at war, that is probably because most of history before is full of war! There was plenty of war in Africa and Asia, so Europe was hardly an exception. Keep in mind that after the defeat of Napolean, there was no war in Europe for over 100 years. And after WW2, there was no significant crisis in Europe till the Yugoslav wars (I'm not counting the cold war, as that was based on igiology, and the power of two massive countries). And when we talk about today, more homogonized societies are generally more successful. China, Japan, and South Korea have very little "multiculturalism" in their countries, yet are the most successful Asian countries out there. The Middle East on the other hand is always in conflict with one another, and even India has problem with Islamic in some of its provinces, with increasing crime and segregation in society.
