Arrival was kinda dissapointing... it doesnt deserve to win best picture.

In my opinion:

1- Arrival
2- Manchester By The Sea
3- Moonlight
4- La La Land
5- Hell or High Water
6- Hacksaw Ridge

I haven't see Fences, Lion or Hidden Figures though, but I liked all 6 I named.

Arrival is one of the best sci-fi films in decades and probably the movie with best direction of the year.

Opinions vary greatly, but imo no its not even close to being "best sci-fy" in decades.

And its not the best picture (film) of the year.

I was in ecstasy watching it, it was the movie that totally convinced me Denis Villeneuve is one of the best directors of the world right now, something I kind of start thinking when I saw Incendies, but yeah, that's just my opinion.

I was in ecstasy wathing it, it was the movie that toally convinced me denis villeneuve is one of the ebst directors of the world right now, something I kind of start thinking whan i saw Incendies, but yeah, that's just my opinion.

Imo it was subpar. Id say its like a 6 or 7 out of 10 movie.

Best sci-fy in the last decade? nope.... even in 2016, Id say something like Rogue One : A star wars story, was better.

Passengers was a million times better too.

Rogue One has a good story but a boring and average direction and is not nearly as close as fascinating as Arrival, it was good, but that's it. Imo.

from the 4 movies i saw

hidden figures > moonlight > arrival > la la land...

but la la land will win because hollywood loves movies about "acting" or showbiz itself....

e.g chicago, the artist, birdman, shakespeare in love...
