It's funny tho. I used to be a big Nintendo fanboy mostly hating on Sony and Playstation fanboys. With the Switch I am slowly making the transition to a PS gamer. I just cannot see how the $300 price tag (even more expensive here in Europe) can be justified. The 2017 line up is embarassing, mostly (full-priced) remakes and indie-games you can get for cheaper on a PC. The launch line-up is the worst I've seen for any console ever. It has no power. It has no streaming. You need to use smartphone apps for online gaming. It doesn't connect to bluetooth devices. Joy-cons and Pro controllers prices are beyond acceptable. Still no proper Virtual Console (Nintendo strongest selling point are their old games and they aren't doing anything with it). 

In 4 or 5 years, it will be a console worth purchasing for sure with a lower price tag and more Nintendo exclusives. But in no way will the Switch offer a better experience than the rival consoles. It will also not offer a better 'alternative' gaming experience. 

Probably wait till more games that you are interested comes out then

WOW, It's funny how people get mad because of a simple opinion, they comment without knowing me, this is my first post at VGC and I didn't think I was going to get this many negative comments. For the people who are saying that I'm not getting a Switch now and that I never will, WRONG!!! Let me tell you that I have own most Nintendo consoles released, and the same thing goes for PlayStation I have owned ALL of them, it just doesn't make sense to me getting one right now. To the people saying that I should have kept it and resell it, I am not a scalper and I don't need the extra money. I'm just a gamer exposing my thoughts in a GAMING forum and I only wanted to see your opinions on this matter.

Ok, my opinion is... It does not matter  if you cancelled your preorder, is pointless, someone is very  happy rigth now because of you, if you planned on buying one eventually it does not matter because is just one unit so thats why i think this thread is pointless.

Do not under estimate some fan bases.The fact people are mad for your opinion is so fucking hilarious.Had you said you just pre-ordered a Switch,you would have been showered in praise,then people would of "cared" about your opinion.

well you are one person, we on the internet are like 1%, what we do or don't, doesn't really matters to the whole picture. Switch with you or without you seems like another hit from nintendo.

Smart man. I am waiting until summer or fall to get the switch. Before one buys a platform there should be at least five games that they want. Theres that and nioh, mass effect neir automata and horizon are all more important games to me on platforms I already have than one game on a platform I have yet to acquire.

I usually wait till there are 5 games I'm interested in to get the system. Waiting for awhile to get Switch if at all. I'm with you on those 2 games and possibly MK8 deluxe.
