Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Looks of A Console Has a Tremendous Impact on Sales

Original Xbox - big and bulky, did not sell great

Gamecube - weird box design

Ps2 sleeker than competition sold the most

Original xbox 360 - slow start, sales jumped when the slim came out

Wii - slim and sleek device, sold the most

Ps3 fat -did not sell well

Ps3 slim - sold excellent

Original xbox one - slow start

Xbox one s - only console to improve on sales year to year

Wii u - bulky and large controller sold the least

Ps4 was the most slim and sleek device and sold the most this gen

Is this a correlation or causation???

Uhh... the controller for the Wii U is not the console.

That's ignoring far more important factors, like the price of the original PS3, the 360 launching with a head-start, and the Wii U being the Wii U.

That must mean Switch will sell amazing!!!!! Its so slim & sleek!!!!!

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

The wii u looks similar to the wii and is not bulky. It is smaller than xbox one and ps4

Yeah well most consumer goods people buy are based on looks cars, clothes, watches, phones, shoes, etc.. so I cant see why the gaming sector would be any diffenrent.

So does this mean the Vita is ugly? I honestly thought it looks great

Even though your logic here is nonsensical, I have to say the PS2 was freaking ugly.

It's neither correlation or causation. It's a subjective judgement you just made up.

PS2 was ugly. Dreamcast had the best design followed by Gamecube. Genesis was sleek. SNES was boxy. Master System sleek. NES boxy. PS1 generic grey box. N64 sleek and curvy. PSP slick looking system. DS is boxy. Vita very slick 3DS very plain looking.
