They aren't used for anything, and it won't tilt any competitions. Actually c) would be good enough. Even if I could instantly buy them with RL money I wouldn't care. Infact I think I am infavor of it. There are some trophies that are very very annoying to get. Like the FF13 one where you have to upgrade every weapon. Which requires grinding hard monsters (that require your special attack) to get an item that is something like less than one percent to drop. |

Can't wait to see EA introduce trophies as micro transactions :p

LOL this is hilarious.
I like this idea, especially with trophies that require multiplayer. I'm no longer able to Platinum Rag.e and Crysis 2 because no one plays the multiplayer anymore, I'm left with only 1 more trophy for Rage and about 3 more for Crysis 2, and being able to buy that last trophy would make my OCD right again
