Was gonna post this. Seems like the joycons become less responsive or that their signal gets distrupted if something is blocking in front of them from the switch.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is a hardware problem. The tiny batteries in the Joy-Cons make the bluetooth radios in them very weak. What I am going to do is put the dock by my couch on an end table and use a long HDMI cord to the TV. That way the dock will be close to the Joy-Cons and will get a strong signal.

Yep, I think that might be the cause. I don't think I'll have any problems since I play videogames very close to the TV/console. But that might be a particulary bothersome issue for some people. Maybe there is a way to improve the Bluetooth reception with an update? Not sure how those things work though :(

Game Explain tested the problem and it seems the problem is if a significant part of you body covers the joy con the water that we are made of absorb the BluTooth signal from the joy con and cause the de-syncing problem, it can be fix if they boost the power the signal but the 20-hour battery life of the joy cons will suffer, or just leave it as is and put a warning about it in the news feed.

So basically already known problems that all BluTooth devices have.

Seems like Nintendo needs a distraction. Ladies and gentemen, mr. Conway Twitty:

We don't know if it's a hardware problem just yet though. I'm not ruling out that it could be, I could see it going either way. If it is a hardware problem i'm gonna hope this is something they could fix with a system update.

Can anyone explain how the hell no one had sync Problems at all that nintendo events? So many peoplw played BotW for 20 minutes times 100k people. No one had an issue. Are these other products?

Everyone playing the Switch at all those events were standing 3 or 4  feet away from the docked Switch. Andre from Gamexplain says in his vid that he was like 10 feet away and both Joy-Cons were having a problem. The Joy-Cons have a limited range. So, like I said before, just put the Switch dock on an end table close to where you are sitting and use a long HDMI cord to the TV.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Because they play very close to the main console.

Anyway, blunty shows an explanation on why this problem happens

Which make me think, this pretty much kills the main purpose of joyconn design. It's supposed to let you play on a relaxed position

Its not just when something obstructs its signal though.

People have noticed it happends if you go more than 5 feet from the console too.

This has to be part of day 1 fix.

1) None of the reports from experience events throughout the world had this issue. (or at least it wasn't reported)
2) There have been a relatively few press units out that seem to be having a high (maybe?) percentage of issues for it to not have been reported in #1.

I'm betting there is already a fix out and we'll see it in the day 1 update. At least there better be.

I'm sure they'll have a firmware update to knock it out, nothing too huge.

Considering the ease of charging them, I think Nintendo is best off boosting the signal at the expense of joycon battery life. I hope they can access the joycon firmware.
