Breath of the Wild’s amiibo Will Unlock Useful Items for Link

As we get ever closer to the release of the latest Zelda title, we finally get a glimpse at what exactly the five new Breath of the Wild amiibo will do if used in the game. Similarly to the anniversary Zelda amiibo, they will unlock a variety of items for Link to use including a sword, bow, arrows, shield, material items and even gear for Link’s horses. Those without these amiibo don’t have to worry about missing out on exclusive items either, as these items will be available through normal gameplay as well.

For a closer look at the items you can get from these amiibo, check out the images below:

As long as it's available through normal gameplay I'm quite okay with it!

Ew, I hate stuff like this.

It's like the pre-order bonuses or "quick-unlock" micro transactions that give you OP items that take all the fun out of the game.

So If you don't want those objects before you find them, you can just...don't use the amiibo :D

Sinmple enough really

I think the only good amiibo is the wolf link amiibo. Essentially, all the other amiibo's functionality is just as Barkley said.

I see what you're saying.  It's similar to paying for DLC that gives you in game currency to buy power ups you don't have to earn.  But at least you get something physical.  For me, I'm buying for the Amiibo for the Amiibo itself to collect.  The rest is extra which I could or could not use.

Then don't buy it. It's not like there's an online multiplayer than can impact other none Amiibo buyers.

And its nice to have something physical that can unlock it digitally. Your paying for something that have multiple uses.

Sounds fine. Most people will get the amiibo for the collection value of it, this is just a nice bonus on the side. Being for single player only gameplay, I see nothing wrong here.

I'll play this the hard way, thank you.

On a related note, where's the Bayo Amiibo Nintendo!? Don't you want my money!?
