Some people already tackled this issue...

Here is the video evidence that Trump lies.

lulz, what a lying sack of dog shit.

I'll freely admit I probably haven't paid as much attention to this issue as I should have, so bear with me if some of this isn't exactly new argumentation. Was curious to see how people would respond though.

From what I do know, one of the most prominent arguments made in favor of transgender rights is that "gender" is separate from "sex." A person's sex is their physical characteristics, whereas gender is how they identify, and what emotional/mental characteristics they have. That's an argument I can totally buy. However, it does make me question why being transgender (which, by that logic, would be different from trans-sex) would warrant using the opposite restroom, when restrooms are differentiated not because of emotional characteristics, but because of physical characteristics.

At the moment, I don't think I find either side of the debate particularly convincing. With that said, if I had to fall on a side, I think I'd probably go with "use the bathroom that you are currently equipped to use." If you have the equipment to use a male restroom, regardless of whether you were born with it or had it added on after the fact, use the men's restroom, and vice versa.

Be interested in hearing people's thoughts; again it's an issue I haven't really thought through, so I'd love to get some pushback on this.

I just consider this whole issue a part of the unwillingness of humans to evolve further. I would much rather have toilets for hygienic vs. filthy people.

Then you'll be happy to hear that we already have that in practice.

It's called "sex segregated toilets", and one can recognize the toilets for the filthy people by their doors being labeled with a female symbol.

What comes to my mind when i read about transgender n sich...

There shall, in that time, be rumours of things going astray, erm, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things wi-- with the sort of raffia work base that has an attachment. At this time, a friend shall lose his friend's hammer and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight o'clock.

Hunting Season is done...

Good. Finally one good thing this fool has done.

Not good, having them chose the bathroom was a much better solution, even though it had its flaws.
Unisex bathrooms are the way to go anyways.

People should be able to chose which washroom they feel which gender they are a part of.

I am not in favour of Unisex washrooms as a solution.

I had them in college and it was creepy, your showering and there is a guy showering in the stall beside you....

You're ignoring the most important thing. I never said anything about urges. I'm talking about being embarassed. Just it.

If clothes just exist to protect from the weather, why use bikinis at all in the beach? If is just for the weather, why use in closed rooms with thermostats controlling the temperature?

1. The Sun is dangerous to the skin, so there is a valid reason to where something at the beach. In regards to bikinis, yes it doesn't really protect from the Sun, but bikinis haven't even been around for 100 years.

2. There's also the problem with sanitation. I guess that you could be in the house with no clothes, but with nothing in between say the furniture and the genitals, it is not good for sanitary reasons.

OMG, I can't believe you are really trying to prove that clothes exist just because of the weather. Nothing that people use at the beach for the last ten decades protect it from the sun. Nothing. Neither men or women.

As for sanitary reasons, there are other forms of solving that. When you use a public bathroom, or even in your own house if you don't live alone, you have contact with things that other people genitals touch too. So, would not be a big problem sitting in a chair naked if it was made from other material.

Why take pictures with clothes? Why cover genitals in sex scenes in movies? That's not for the weather and you know it.

That may not be why people wear clothes nowadays, but that's the reason why they exist.

You mean bathrooms are seperated by sex. Gender is all about identity, sex is about the biology.

I grew up learning them as meaning the exact same thing and just because some peoples definitions may have changed doesn't mean mine ever will.

Just loved that response. Good, polar bear!
