Switch line-up is definitely better for me, which is why I'll be getting one this year instead of a year and a half later like I did for 3DS. Splatoon being the GOAT also helps a lot!

ugh, Splatoon... *sigh*

I really didn't want to have to invest on a Switch this year, it's a damn shame (not) that game's coming out so soon. Even still I probably won't have money to buy it anyway.

You could always buy Zelda on Wii U. :L

You also forget 3ds has backward compatibility, which makes this comparison look like a joke

You're right, but I think being there at launch specifically will save the game, as people who are not interested in Zelda might pick up the game simply because the pickings are slim at launch.

I think anyone who isn't interested in Zelda just isn't picking up the system at all... well most people, at least.

I mean, 1-2-Switch might be an "option", but even at $50, it could entice some people who don't know what it is. The problem for unaware people, however, is that even the game's boxart already screams shovelware.

Like a lot of Wii U owners, I don't feel like it is worth getting until later. It'll be nice waiting- potential discounts and a wider library to choose from. I'll probably double dip for Mario Kart and Zelda :P

DS launch was even worse.

In term of exclusives, 3DS does way better , whîle most Switch games are ports/multiplatforms, so objectively 3DS was more interesting

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Shovel Knight (with the new campaign) and Fast RMX are launch titles for the Switch.

I was trying to focus on the relative highlights. Shovel Knight, though a gem of a game, has been released on enough platforms to make it a relatively minor release on launch day. And Fast RMX is an indie game in a niche genre.

Love and tolerate.

WTF! That launch lineup for the 3DS looks shit!

I am buying Zelda on Wii U.

What I'm saying is, I probably won't have money to get a Switch when Splatoon 2 arrives, and as of right now that's the only real system-seller for me - otherwise I'd be happy to just buy it late next year.

Welp, maybe I'll just have to count on those 3 Switch giveaways I'm in.

Oh my bads, I assumed you were getting the better version of Zelda with how hyped you are for it. On the brightside when you do pick up a Switch Splatoon 2 should be fully complete by then, assuming the dev cycle is the same as the first.

If you win atleast two, give a spare to me okay, thx!

Nah, I'm getting Breath of the Wild the way I can. Honestly, it's gonna be pretty much the same game, so it's not like it matters. I'm pretty sure the only noticeable difference will be the framerate dips during explosions, but framerate dips make explosions cooler so I don't care.

As for getting Splatoon when it's "complete"... that's exactly what I don't want. Part of the fun of Splatoon is being around during the game's evolution, and the early splatfests and all that stuff.

Being able to play it on the go is a pretty noticeable difference, though what I'm actually most interested in is the better sound quality. I really like the sound design choice of not having music and only the sounds of nature.

True, good times when rolling over people was meta! It's not that big of a deal though, course it's easier for me to say that since I'll only be waiting a few months after Splatoon 2 launches hehe.
