Maybe. But by Nintendo? No. They are just dumbing down and dumbing down every series they have.

Yeah, they're really dumbing down that new Zelda game. Open world? No tutorials? Robust physics engine? Psh, how simplistic.

And I can't believe Nintendo is making a sandbox Mario game with a focus on large worlds and exploration. Why couldn't they actually do something innovative and ambitious, like a linear, fixed-camera platformer instead?

My sister's the Paper Mario fan. I never got too into it.. I WOULD however, rush to buy a true Mario RPG sequel in a heartbeat!

Possibly, I haven't got into the Paper Mario franchise yet but if this was the case, I would consider it

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Nah I outgrew Mario years ago.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is my favorite game ever made, so of course I would buy that. I've bought every Paper Mario except for Color Splash, but I plan on boycotting the series until they decide to return to the original formula.

I bought color splash so yes, I would buy a true sequel.

Sure, I'd buy a Paper Mario game in the style of the 64/Thousand Year Door one. Those games were pretty rad too. Really the only Paper Mario game that seems to be bad is Sticker Star. Color Splash was quite excellent in its own right, and... well, I dunno how Super Paper Mario is, so I can't comment on that.

Sadly this is a fruitless question, Nintendo already said they're never going to make another true Paper Mario and instead are gonna make sure sequels do something different. This is both good and bad, bad obviously because no more winning original formula, but good because no more crappy Sticker Star formula.

All paper mario sequels have been "true" paper mario sequels. it just so happens that some games are bad.

Super Paper Mario is neither bad nor a true Paper Mario in the sense that everyone means when they say this, being that they don't play like the originals.

Something in the style of either of the first 3 games would be very enjoyable (yes, even a SPM style platformed :p)

I'm interested in how that actually happens because I'm in my 30's and would rather play SMB3 than just about any game on the market today. Please explain.
