Phil is a gamer. I think he genuinely apprecriates creativity, but I believe his issue is getting Microsoft to produce creative new IP.  Sure, they can buy it, but to actually internally development something new would be a huge thing for Microsoft. This has never been their strength.

Well, when there's a funny way of saying "boy, you done fucked up!" then I think it is fair game. But when you crap on a product that is good and is delivering good experiences for its consumers in order to pump up your own product, then that's just petty and meanspirited.

I don't imagine that anyone's hands are clean. But some things are less defensible than other things.

like you can say "well done" but with a tone that implies you dont think so, followed by a sneer at a person.

Then the meaning of the thing changes, even if the words stay the same.

... Are you even reading at this point? Twisting what words? You mean the full sentences I am taking directly from what you said, word for word, and highlighting? Something is literally not twisted, if it is taken word for word.

To highlight this let's look at what I underlined. This is the line that literally came before your struggle (confusion) to weigh the pros and cons of the argument:

There is no way you read I posted. No way. Because if you did, I wouldn't be reading what you just posted. You essentially restated that you were confused by your own argument.

Now aside from that. Everything bolded and italicized... This is the very first time PC was specifically mentioned. At all. Not even between just our posts, in the thread entirely. You are making this up as you go. "It just makes no sense at all"... (That quote is you highlighting your confusion of your own words. Again. Specifically through the words in italicized.)

The best part of this all is that you just verified that instead of actually dealing with my argument, you replaced it with your own, and then proceeded to get confused by it.

Exactly my point, despite Microsofts words, they always follow up with an untrustworhy action. All businesses have untrustworthy moments, but MS is the most shady of them all. 

I read what you wrote, but I am clearing my statement as you misconstrued my confusion and where it came from. You're taking apart my statements and not applying context nor meaning to it properly. If this is how you're going to approach speaking, its not going to get very far.  Sorry, but I work too many hours to come back to VGChartz and go through this. Others seemed to get my statement just fine. You're the only one dragging it out this far.

No ones confused by what you're saying. You're picking things apart, claiming someones lost and then running yourself in circles. Im not going down that path. I know exactly what I said and what you said, but theres only so much time in the day for this.

Actually, in the beginning I thought it was refeshing, until Microsoft followed up their "good will" with a shady twitter response to Sony's PS4 Pro launch in an attempt to devalue the pro. As someone else said, mixed messages, which sours any congratulation that Phil would later give. Once again, Its good that its happening, but after that its reasonable to question the value at this point. 

I minscontrued nothing. I was confused by nothing that you said. I knew exactly where each of your lines came from and you are lying through your teeth if you state that I am not applying context as that has all I have been doing since beyond my first post. And speaking of my first post you never once addressed anything I said aside from failing to defend you confusion. Instead of actually responding to my post you replaced it with your own argument. Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong about that. It is laughable you think that you can even begin to criticize how I approach speaking when you actively avoid an argument by replacing with your own. You need to follow your own advice.

So go ahead and clear whatever it is you want to clear. Your posts are already in my responses, and it would be very clear to anyone through reading them, I have properly broken down what you said. You can go "Bu-buh you are misconstruning my words!" as much as you want. The difference is that I actually contiuously proved and backed up what I stated, and you kept adding nonsensical stuff as you went along.

No one should be confused by what I was saying. That is precisely why I went into the depth I previously did. Oh and please qoute where I claimed anything along the lines of someone has lost. You can't because tou made that up. That is your fundamental problem. You are not addressing what I actually have said, and replacing it with what you want to be said. If you knew what I said and realize the value of time, then perhaps next actually address what someone else has said instead replacing it with your own arguments that you have confused yourself with.
