Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Perfect Pitch: Pocket Monster Hunter

A few days ago, Capcom was revealed to have been close to Nintendo, when the Switch was in the early phases; this makes me hope for Pocket Monster Hunter to be developed and released for the Switch.

In Capcom's statements, they mentioned their desire to develop AAA games for the system, and I ask what would be more AAA than a crossover between their wildly enjoyable Monster Hunter franchise and the overwhelmingly popular Pokemon franchise?

I understand that many people would, at first be quick to state that The Pokemon Company would not licence Pokemon for use in such a game, to that I have one word to offer you: Pokken.

Personally, I believe that Pocket Monster Hunters could not possibly sell under one million units, there is just to much that could be done with the game: It could be set in a time before the invention of Pokeballs, a wild world where human need to kill to survive.
Humans killing Pokemon has been detailed in the mainline games, in places like the Canalave library.
Pokemon have also been depicted as tools for war, such as in Pokemon Conquest or Lt. Surge's war story.

I am eager to read you thoughts on the potential of a crossover game, thanks for reading.

I'd love to see a proper Monster Hunter on the Switch. the 3ds' resolution really impacted the game.

My only request is to not name is Monster Hunter XXX. Please, anything but that

I also want to turn Pikachu into a hat or weapon.

Pikachu would make a cool looking weapon. I wonder what Pikachu meat tastes like?

Given how much Pokemon Company loves Pikachu, I think Pikachu would fulfill the role of felynes if they ever do make this a thing

A lot of Pokemon would make for cool Monster Hunter enemies and weapons.
Imagine waltzing around in a Beartic fur robe.
