Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony confirms that Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is a PS4 exclusive

Some random Twitter handle that's probably run by interns isn't confirmation of anything.

I fully expect this to be timed exclusive, which is a terrible deal from Sony, specially when they're so close with ActiBliz now. Why can't we have a long time classic mascot be exclusive as a celebration of the brand's anniversary? No Xbox or Nintendo fan was asking for Crash to come back. This will probably sell millions, then we'll get a Crash 4 with the old gameplay and it's gonna suck because it's not made by Naughty Dog.

Hope they cared enough to also bring back CTR, otherwise they ruined the whole nostalgia trip show. Makes no sense to leave out one of the best kart racers. Good kart racers still lack in the PS4 library.

I dont get why its timed exclusive. It coming to the xbox one later will bomb hard

The fact that Sony is not saying exclusive says it all. But on the other hand way would Sony would be giving up the rights to the first 3 games.

Technically, SFV's exclusivity wasn't really pushed by Sony, either. That was Capcom's doing. In this case, we have someone straight from PlayStation saying that it is and also the fact that Activision isn't shooting down that message.

They always said that SFV was exclusive in both trailers and conferences and with the Playstation Ireland tweet been taken down has pretty much confirmed it, if the game is exclusive Sony would be saying it in everything everywhere.

Soo its obvious

It's so obvious that they announced that it's not actually an exclusive but a timed-exclusive.

I really don't believe it will come to XOne and Switch (as much as I would love that). One of two things:

Or they don't clarify this yet because they thought it'd be obvious that it's a exclusive and we will start seeing the "Only on Playstation" closer to launch.

Or it's a timed exclusive and will come to PC later (that's what I think it is based on the latest tweet).

This is just as much as a confirmation as the original tweet that was taken down.

aka, it doesn't mean anything.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

I'm guessing PC later, not XBO and Switch. But, we shall see.

Sony wasn't as big on the exclusivity as Capcom. I didn't say they never said that it was. They are, however, much more aggressive with IPs (developed by a 3rd Party company) that they own, such as Bloodborne and Until Dawn.

Regardless, it looks like this was clarified further. So it is likely timed.

Now that its most likely multiplatform I'd love to know the story behind it. Sony must have just givin the go ahead since they cant do anything except re-release the ps1 versions, pointless keeping it if they cant do anything with it and at this stage they made all the money they could possibly make from them.
