Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Acclaimed Rhythm action game Voez announced for Switch!

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals Voez, a rhythm action game by Rayark previously released for smartphones, is coming to Switch via Flyhigh Works.

In addition to rhythm action playing a variety of songs, you’ll be able to enjoy the youthful story of the six boys and girls that make up the band “Voez.”

Development is currently 99 percent complete.

Thanks, Famitsu.

It's Rayark games second port to handelds, with Cytus on PsVita. It's their 5th game overall.
With the development being 99% complete, it can be expected as a launch title.
Edit : It's their 3rd port. They also released Deemon on Vita.

Also Rayark aren't doing the port themselves, they've hired a third party (FlyingHigh Works). (Thanks Kresnik)

Mobile port number 1. It begins.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Never heard of it, but the more games the better.

I really would like to see a Taiko game released in the west, though

OP edited. Thanks a lot!

At least it's a game that got great reception and has a console friendly gameplay.

It also makes sense for a tablet to get mobile games.

I like the anime character designs. Not a fan of rhythm games though.

Pocky Lover Boy!

All this just reminded me that I'd love if Switch gets a new Theathrythm Final Fantasy.

Given the reception of both games that's likely on the way.

I'm not sure the game would have any benefit from being played in docked mode though. They would also need to redo all the graphics so it doesn't look terrible on higher resolution screens.

Curtain Call on the 3DS already has button controls for all modes, though it's still a bit wonky with respect to the Field Music sequences. However, they work like a charm on Battles and Event Music sequences. As for the graphics, their promotional art (and the iOS release) indicates that they could always just use their respective assets. Event music sequences will look very dated, however, especially given games like Final Fantasy VII having them.

The problem, of course, is how well Curtain Call did (in terms of sales) despite being a superior game in every way.
