Glad to see I was nearly right. I guessed 99 and said it would be better than OoT. It is better than OoT, but the score doesn't quite reflect that. Oh well, close enough.

What kind of condescending passive aggressive comment is this? Its sad how Horizon fans JUST HAVE to discredit Nintendo because Zelda has scored higher than Horizon. You people are probably the ones that started the "rivalry", and STILL can't come up with much more than "Horizon is amazing, it looks gorgeous 1080p/4K/60fps". All while the main character looks ugly.

 

Congrats to Nintendo and all of those who were involved in BOTW development, seems like they really created something special besides a gorgeous looking game. Surely joining Super Mario 64 and Halo as some of the greatest launch games ever.

Well of course they are. When Killzone was announced, you didn't have Halo fans or CoD fans screaming "OMG Halo Killer, or OMG CoD Killer"

When Horizon was annoucned, you didn't have Nintendo fans screaming "OMG Zelda killer" Ect.

I realize both my examples happened to be GG games. That was not intentional, just first two examples that popped in head. It happens all the time when new games are announced.

I told you guys that would happen, it happens all. the. time. with PS/XB exclusives, the more attention they bring because of being good or selling a lot, the more haters will go spread shit on MC user score, really, there is people dedicated on doing it, with a score this high, there was no way haters would avoid it.

It reminds me from Nintendo boasting about having most games above 8.5 on MC based also on user score, because they were free from that baseless hating xP

Yea, usually Nintendo games are more immune to it, only because the fanboys tend to just fight between xbox/playstation and thus largely ignore Nintendo.

But trolls can't pass up a chance at this score, or people that are jeaolous, envious, petty, angry, ect.

Yeah in my experience, user scores on Metacritic aren't worth a rats ass until 12 to 24 months out, after trolls have moved on and some reviews have been removed and the numbers have swelled to ballance it out.  And that's if they're EVER worth anything.  I mean Call of Duty is lucky to get over 5.0.  Say what you want of CoD, but in most cases that is just a blatant demonstration of how screwed up user scoring on MC is.  Except with Ghosts.  Ghosts was a dumpster fire.

Yep, user scores MC are this way. There's no point in care about them, when most of them are troll reviews for people who haven't even played the game, and they're salty about the score or popularity. It happens always with almost every popular game.
