NNID is for Wii U and 3DS, Nintendo Account ID is for Switch.

I just made my userId the same as my account name. Not sure why its even different.

They said I could use Facebook, Twitter, my Nintendo Network ID or whatever. I just used my old WiiU/3DS credentials. My old Mii was there and everything.

Did this already with Miitomo or was it Fire Emblem?

So is this conformation we are starting all over again and any purchases on the WiiU will not have a snowball's chance in carrying over?

You can link your NNID and it transfers your Mii over to Miitomo. So I'm sure digital rights is linked in there somehow. Probably won't have BC on Switch though.
