Moving forward, there will be two separate scoring tallies for platinums. All platinumed games released in the current year, will earn the participant bonus points towards their monthly/yearly totals, just as they initially did. These points are still scored as originally outlined in the OP.

In addition to this, a new scoring table will be added to rank all participants by the total platinums earned since the initial founding of the league, with the stipulation that only games released since February of 2017 are eligible. When exactly you earn these platinums is irrelevant. As long as you maintain them, they will count towards your ranking. The scoring system for this table will be consistent with the scoring already employed by the GS and TA categories, and like the GS category, as long as you maintain at least one Platinum in an eligible game, you will always receive at least one point.

Since it's not unlikely there may be several ties in regards to how many participants have earned a certain amount of platinums, the following tie breakers will apply to the rankings:

1. A tie between two participants will always favor the one who has earned more platinums in games with a physical release.

2. If the first criteria does not resolve the tie, the participant who has the highest total GS across the platinumed games will be favored.

3. If the second criteria still doesn't resolve the tie, the participant with the highest total TA across the platinumed games will be favored.

To simplify, the new overall scoring will consist of the following:

GS Ranking + TA Ranking + Plat Ranking + New (current year) Plats

Yay, I'm in!!

I like the changes for the most part. Glad I'm not doing all this work. God bless you Angelus

I was just about to make a post about your finalised plans for 2018 :)

So with this new rule using Assassin's Creed Origins as an example if I get to 1000GS on it next week I will not earn 5 points for it in the current years table but it will be added to my total plat points in the full plat ranking and If I got for example 1000GS and been the first to do it In Monster Hunter World next week that would add 10 points to both the plat ranking and the new table since it's just released?

The plat ranking is based on your amount of platinums, not the amount of points that a current year plat nets you. So if you plat AC next week, that would earn you 1 plat for the plat rankings. If you - as the first - plat Monster Hunter with 1000GS, you will earn 10 points for it as a current plat, as you said, and again, one plat point for the total plat ranking table.

So you're basically right, but for the new plat rankings the plats aren't tracked as points, but rather just the amount that you have. Then whoever holds the most plats every month gets the 10 points added to their overall score, 7 for the second most, and so on.

This is how it would look as of last month ^^

As said, there will be at least one point for everyone who has at least one platinum, but that's not currently applicable.

It’d be kinda cool to see how we do collectively month vs month. Like how much gs, ta and platinums earned vs previous months and keep records of best months.

I've scored a total of 50 gs this month.

I blame pubg. The taste of the succulent chicken is too much.

Ah yeah that is what i thought but was just presuming points were like the were for the current plat table but that makes sense now with the physical/digital tie breaker in place :)

Shit, guess I have to play more popular games now
