Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4: Horizon Zero Dawn Is A Techinical Masterpiece (Digital Foundry)

It certainly looks quite impressive but damn that fps. Wasn't expecting it to me that smooth. Well done devs!

Funny hearing a 1080p 30fps game beign clamored as a technical masterpiece.

Could have sworn at the end of the ps3/360 lifespan when the new systems were coming out that they were going to be standard 1080p 60fps games. No more of this 720 or 900p 30fps crap the first "HD" systems had.

Yet here we are with probably one of the best looking games the PS4 will ever see and it's only 1080p 30fps.

Technical masterpiece... at 30 fps. Get real DF.

Damn it looks crazy good. I wish I had a 4K TV.

Does anybody know if this game has several different difficulty levels? (please say yes)

Easy/normal/hard/very hard. All available from the start.

What distinguishes them apart? Just more HP on enemies and harder hitting?

Well yeah, if it was 1080p/60fps it wouldn't be even close to the PS4's best looking game :p

The creatures/enemies take more damage and materials are more scarce. There isn't a difficulty Trophy though.

Definitely pleased to see a new IP get treated so well critically, and it's definitely one I'll get sometime later this year (too much on my plate atm, SUCH a busy spring!)

Also nice to see that standard PS4 performance wasn't sacrificed in the process, feel like this should be the standard all other PS4 games with Pro support are judged with.
