Which one do you all think will eventually have the most bought on day 1? Right now it doesn't even look close for NS, but I suspect those numbers are very inaccurate (does VGC keep track of Amazon pre-orders, best buy, etc or just places like gamestop?). I mean, close to, if not more, than 2 million people have pre-ordered Switches already (and many more would if slots were available), and yet the game that everyone wants on the Switch is only at 25k preorders? That just doesn't seem right.

As far as I'm aware VgChartz preorder tracking has never been very accurate to begin with, so I doubt this is correct.

It's hard to say. Ultimately a lot of people may have had Wii U preordered and will now cancel it because they're getting a switch. I think day 1 will go to the Wii U though just based on the current install base but who knows.

It's been confirmed that the pre order numbers are incorrect, so these aren't the best to go off of.

I think it's safe to say the Switch version will beat it, many more copies will be printed and it's a flagship launch title. Wii U version will probably do decently though.

Glad these are confirmed incorrect, because there's no way the Wii U version would have gotten 80k pre orders after the event and only 25k for the Switch version.

Cool so I will just update this thread every week we get pre orders to see if VGchartz starts eliminating wii u ones and adding to the switch ones.

Well if there are going to be around 2 million Switch's sold in it's first week, there's gonna be 2 million copies of BotW sold too. Same probably goes for it's first several months on the market.

Also there are many many reasons for why I wouldn't use those number's to back up a statement on this.

It would probably be more accurate to switch those two numbers.
