Tbh i thought ffxv, was pretty solid on perfomance. I guess framepacing is not so harsh on my eyes... While i played it i found it pretty smooth

60fps mode? see, play 30fps vs 60fps mode its night and day

Well, VG tech found a 45fps average on a 11Mn video. It's still on average 50fps faster than at capped 30fps which is pretty good IMO for reducing input lag and blur in motion.

DF for some reason hate uncapped games. It depends of people.

What has happened to the Final Fantasy franchise? This looks nothing like Final Fantasy, plays nothing like Final Fantasy, and reminds nothing of Final Fantasy to me. Extremely uninterested in what used to be my favourite gaming series.

Look, you're pretty adamant about your "feeling", but just because it's significantly different from being 30 FPS doesn't mean it's automatically 60 FPS. Imagine this: the 30 FPS they had initially might've been VSYNC'd. Removing VSYNC makes a world of difference to response and something as simple as an increase of 10-20 FPS (i.e. not 60 FPS) can feel much better.

I absolutely *hate* VSYNC and on my PC games disable it wherever possible. I understand how you feel, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's 60 FPS.

I dont trust these results from DF, the game doesnt feel like 40fps at all. Play in 30fps and than 60fps mode, its night and day

You can't just pick and choose when you want to believe a news source. You don't like what they're saying, fine. You're okay with the performance, that's fine, too. Only believing what you want to believe is some Donald Trump stuff!

Dramatic design and gameplay shift have been a standard for the series for a while now. Final Fantasy 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 all either play or present themselves very differently (in some instances both). Were it not for their shared name, they could all easily be from different JPRG different.

Digital foundry is not lying. They just dissect technically with metrics and tools, the cold game code. If you believe otherwise, it's your opinion, based on your eyes and not the tech behind it
