So, that's really arkward. He couldn't read that one out loud, because he didn't had his reading glasses. Uhm.. OK. I don't know why he would make such a big fuss about it instead just going straight and say, "I can't read without my glasses" and put the paper away instead of falling into silence for several seconds. It just seems strange to me.
