We're a couple of years into the PS4/XB1/Wii U gen and Im just curious as to what everyone would say the best game of the generation has been so far?

 

My vote goes towards The Witcher 3. From the detailed and varied sidequests, to the mature handling of Adult Themes to its technical brilliance. The giant size of this world and the minimum amount of loading times still amazes me. I've been going through a second playthrough on NG+ and Im loving every second of it.

A distant second would be Dragon Age: Inquisition, I had a lot of fun build an army and pretty much becoming the ruler of my own domain. I look at 2017 with great anticipation ME: Andromeda, Persona 5 and FFXII

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Ori and the Blind Forest are both neck and neck for me.

I expect Horizon: Zero Dawn and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to have a shot at beating them or share their top spot.

Here's hoping they won't disappoint.

That's actually a good question.

Sadly, I can only include Nintendo games... Even though I like ALBW and Pikmin 3 more, I would say Splatoon is my game of the generation. It's just a nice change to have a new, innovative IP, and I would say that's more deserving to be GotG, instead of a sequel that tries to expand on a familiar game.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Any particular reason your just SOLO Wii U? Do you game on PC?

Uncharted 4 for me. A mix of the best story and best gameplay in an already really great series.
