Forums - Politics Discussion - "Donald Trump I voted for you BUT.."

I wish I could have voted for Trump. Unfortunately I'm in the wrong country.

He has done exactly what he said he would do as far as I can tell. When you vote for someone that's what you want, right?

Man, it's much deeper than that. I know you don't live here so I guess you have a reason not to know, but what he's getting done...it's all backfiring right in his face because his ideals are so broken and built from malice. Have you seen his press briefings? He doesn't like to be in presidental briefings where there is a lot of text. He likes pictures and maps only...that's very childish. We have a man child running our country. Trump isn't what we wanted, the popular vote says it by itself, however the election isn't decided by how many popular votes you get. He also thought he could sue the supreme court...the court that puts in place checks and balances on power. This guy is a complete lunatic.

There are people that regret their decision, there is no denying it. Obviously it's not everyone, but I don't believe that they're claiming that it's everyone. Donald Trump is trying to discredit all opposition as fake news, even if it isn't, are you going to call him out for that?

Why should I call out Trump when you don't call out the media?

Yes, Trump has a problem with criticism. Yes, Trump often tries to discredit criticism by calling it fake news.

Now it's your turn.

The media is terrible too. It is extremely biased towards a pro-establishment, pro-American viewpoint. I'm a communist and an anarchist, you should know that I don't like the media. Just because I'm critizing Trump doesn't mean I like the media, I'm just saying that there is a valid reason to point out the faults of Donald Trump.

Wow, this is hilarious. The irony.

Now you're starting a campaign simply to shut me down, to silence me, using the very same tactics media is attacking Trump, and how media is using all over the West against the opposition and against free thinkers.

(Just like every leftist media outlet out there, first proclaim that you stand up for freedom and democracy:)

"Everybody is free to express their opinion, but.."

(then there's the but, and voilá, then you're free to go out on a witch hunt!)

"Slimebeast is insulting"

"Slimebeast is trolling"

"Slimebeast is borderline racist"

"Slimebeast is intentionally provoking".

"Slimebeast is getting in the way of healthy discourse"

Absolutely hilarious.

Now you only have to contact your peers and ask them to complain to the mods.

I seem to remember you doing the same thing in fact, labelling things you disagree with as leftist or Marxist, knowing full well that those terms still carry negative connotations.

But I don't have a problem per se that somebody views me as racist or provoking or insulting. I am all for a free discussion.

But those labels are sensitive and I can't expect the mods to stand against the pressure if people complain en masse.

And it's not even about me personally, it's a reflection of a huge problematic phenomenon in society, a reflection of the same mechanisms today where the marginalized opinion is being discriminated.

Nah, you avoided the fake news aspect of leftist media.

I highly doubt that you're being that marginalized here. It is clear from prior threads that you're far from the only person here with these views, and you did not get banned for expressing them, so I'd say that you're pretty safe expressing your views here. There's many people that disagree with my views here, so by your logic my opinion is being discriminated against here too.

First, tell me who you're referring to by leftist media. What I consider the left and what you consider the left are probably very different.

Yes, and that's why it's not very fruitful for us to go further. I agree that self-expressed communists are in the margin of modern society. It's not with your faction that I have my main ideological battles with.

I believe many of the voters didn't think he would actually be a racist, bigoted misogynist that constantly lies. He did indeed live up to that though so the voters only has themselves to blame.

Well, I think that many people voted for him because they lost hope in the American government and saw Trump's "drain the swamp" as the last hope for redemption. Unfortunately for them, they were scammed.

Agreed but it doesn't make their vote any less irresponsible.

Trump was the crapshoot candidate in some eyes whereas for Hillary, you already have a general idea of what kind of candidate she was. Some voters opted for the "Devil they don't know" over the "Devil they do know."

Just as a reminder to everyone. Keep the discussion civil. The other Trump thread already went down the tubes because of derailment.
