I'm so upset the Air & Space museum isn't showing this on their IMAX screen. We get Kong in 2 weeks but right now the only movie playing is Top Gun! I've never liked that movie. The experience is so much better there than at other local theaters, though, I might just wait for Logan to come out on blu-ray.

I'll pass. Superhero movies usually get a free pass because they are superhero movies. Civil war and Guardians of the Galaxy disappointed me. Glad some of you enjoy Logan though.

This ain't a superhero film, not where near the same kind of thing as those you mentioned.

Hmm, pie.

Well, X-Men Origins: Wolverine didn't have a very good reception, but I didn't mind it.

The main problem with the 2 Wolverine movies is how they treated the final villans that DeadPool abomination and Mecha Silver Samurai were just awful, if they had accurately portrayed the villans then the movies would have been recieved better.

Well they were far better than the villains in this film. X-24 was the most boring super hero villain I've ever seen. There was zero personality or motive to his character. They should have gone with Omega Red and gave the fans what they truly wanted. The could have written him in quite easily and even had him be the cause of Logan's illness rather than the stupid McGuffin that was used. I won't mention which one to respect spoilers.

Though it was nice how this film was set in the original time-line prior to Days of Future Past. The first two Wolverine films and X-men: Last Stand still occurred and had reference points in this film. The multiple timelines will let Fox have a lot of fun in the future.

Best Marvel movie to date IMO, and best X-Men movie period. Right up there with The Dark Knight. I really enjoyed it.

In discussions about super hero or comic movies the common refrain I hear lately is "fatigue" and how they will achieve "critical mass".

In certain respects I agree that audiences can only be wowed so much, and that after Infinity War be hard to imagine "going bigger".

Fortunately we have Deadpool and Logan to show us how comic movies can be relevant in the future. Smaller scale character focused films that feel true to the character. After watching X-Men Apocalypse and feeling indifferent to it, Logan left a real impact because I cared. I cared about Logan, Charles, and Laura wanting them to survive this harsh reality. I also give a lot of credit that the actors felt passionate and gave great performances in these characters. To me Logan is the high mark for X-Men films and among the best comic book movies I've seen. Being a deeper, slower, and more brutal feature was the right choice and glad to see it succeed.

What is this movie? I mean has there ever been a comic book with an older beat up Wolverine called Logan?

The film is loosely based on the premise of "Old Man Logan"

I've seen it last wednesday and it was a awesome movie^^

In a sense yes but the comic version had a different premise and closer tied to the MU as a whole, Old Man Logan (first volume, second one is kinda pants and tied to something else Hickman threw up on).

Yet it is different. They used many things from the comics which have been mentioned before and created a new story which was more suited to the X-men world they'd created on screen, fitting nicely in.
