Forums - Nintendo Discussion - World's First Nintendo Switch Unboxing

This was super awesome. I've been really excited for the switch, it even managed to pull me away from my FFXIV addiction.

I'm the result of someone exclusively playing Final Fantasy XI from the PS2 release till 2010, and only stopping for small bouts of catch up.

3DS Friend Code: Tate - Uh.. stuff happened... I need to get a new 3DS

Switch FC: SW-3272-7705-6029

If you add me, please let me know so I can add you back. =D

FFXI Character: Formally Tatewaki of Cerberus, Now Arngrim Of Sylph.  Retired forever. ; ;

FFXIV Character: Tate Raken of Hyperion

All time favorite game: Chrono Trigger.

All time favorite Manga: One piece... Followed by Ranma 1/2.

How so, if you don't mind me asking?

People who played Pokemon early on 3DS got banned, under the gaize of "banning pirates playing it early" the thing is, a bunch of people (including the ones who eventually dumped the cart and put it online) had got it early either because of retailer mistakes or just blind luck of walking into a store and an employee not being on the ball.

If they'll ban people for playing a game early, chances are it isn't a far stretch to imagine them banning a person playing their newest console 2 weeks early either.

I highly doubt he would get banned.  A game connecting online early is a sign of potential piracy, hence the ban, whether you agree with it or not.  Not so much here.  It's much more likely one of the online functions would work really, the servers and services likely won't properly go live until much closer to zero hour.

Would YOU risk it?

He made the right choice.

I wonder why out of the box Nintendo products always feel amazing, lol.

Obviously not, but mainly because even if it is a 1% risk, it outweighs the potential benefit because there *is none* :P

How the hell did the vendor or whatever mess this order up? xD

They send the Press versions of the console early.... Im assumeing someone mistook him for a press member, or someone allowed to get a unit sent early.

Nah the waiting for a long period without games will just get him used to owning a Nintendo system.

/joking, don't freak out.

I laughed!

Eh, nothing we haven't seen or knew about already, which means it is true that the only functionality the Switch has at launch is playing games. Hoping there'll be more by the time I get one, but not a big deal eitherway.

Maybe we're still getting a ND before launch on the OS.
