OP justified his decision and that's all that matters so we can't exactly tell a grown man how to spend his money ...

In OP's case the PS4 Pro is cheaper for him when he can fund it at a reduced price for selling his base PS4, the platform has a maturing library when the Switch isn't even backwards compatible and the fact that he can get the new Zelda on his WII U ...

You should decide what you want and not let the community decide your taste in products and games.

Get both, you could get the pro now and the switch a few months after it releases, just to give Nintendo a chance to reveal more plans for the system and any hidden releases they might still have.

Naw man. The PS4 pro is not for you. Its a console for the more advanced gamer, the pro gamer. Hence the add on "pro". Games would be way too hard for you. And as we all know you like your games easy like sunday mornings.

And yet, it's probably going to have easier games than the Switch in general.

Are you referring to the DLC difficulty mode? The Last of Us also had an extra DLC hard mode. So... so far it's a tie.

Hunting Season is done...

Just buy the Switch honestly, we all know you'll be able to pick up the PS4 for $99 this holiday.

I always knew you wouldn't buy a Switch.

Well, PS4 pro doesn't have any exclusives that PS4 doesn't have so...if you have a PS4, Which a lot of people do, then go for the Switch. It's really nice piece of tech. I'm sure it'll be well supported in the future too.

You should get the Switch no matter what

You win.

Third opton: PSVR ofcourse, new games, new experiences.
However since you bought a 4K monitor you must be a graphics whore, which rules out PSVR and the Switch. Pro doesn't quite make the mark either, you should wait for really true 4K with the highest quality pixels.

wait for switch. Get it whenever it has games you want.
meanwhile, get a vita.
