I have only 3 warnings. 2 of which I gave myself when I was a mod including this one:

05/14/14 20:43 TruckOSaurus Warning Flaming (Even if Zero999 totally deserves it, you're supposed to give the example and not flame him.)     6306646

Ah, how I miss Zero999. We have no crazy people on the boards any more, we need some new ones!!!

Never no moderation on me, not sure if I've gotten warnings though, but I can't remember any.

Not that I've been active the last year or so :P

This was just a thread for the mod team to mark down names of people who we have to target.

7860 posts and always try to consider others when making them to not be a dick to others. Seems to be going well enough for me so far.

Only thing I can recommend is that if there is an argument heading a bad direction, just say "agree to disagree" or don't even bother and just walk away from it, this is the Internet, you don't have to prove yourself to anyone on here or keep at an argument with someone until they change their point of view to fall in line with yours, if you think that could happen then you'll have conflict all over the place because everyone has their own mind (for the most part!!) Sometimes it's easier to just walk away from something or someone rather than end up getting a moderation for it.

And remember the sage words of these two historical peacekeepers.

This was my strategy early on.  Just walk away from arguments instead of getting worked up about things that people say on an internet forum.

Aye, it does mean that there are a few users on here that I don't ever reply to or for the most part read any of their posts once I see the avatar, I found out early on that some people just take a reply to mean that what they're typing is worthy of discussion and it really isn't, find if you don't fan the flame it just goes out itself.

And like you said it is people on the internet at the end of the day, you can always avoid the conflict here with the lil x on the tab of the page!! I guess you gotta remember too that there are also people of so many different cultures on here that at times the way people react to a post of yours could simply be because that isn't them being "mean" it just is them being more direct as a part of their culture. It can be easy to get offended by someone accidentally when there is a global community on here chatting away.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Yes, especially since everyone's minds are already usually decided before the discussion even happens. I've noticed that through the political threads, where I don't know if I've ever seen someone convince someone else to change their mind.

I have no moderations whatsoever, but I'm not super active either.

Nada, although one of the guys I was going back and forth with toward the end of the "my big butt" thread got warned for all of us that we were spamming .... not sure I agree but se la vie

Edit : oh and i had to reduce the size of my sig a couple years ago when the standard changed ... not really a warning I guess ... I feel so lame
