Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Survey: What exactly upsets you about DLC for BOTW

Stance on BOTW DLC

Fine execept for the harder difficulty
Zelda should not have DLC
Zelda having DLC is fine but announce it after the game comes out
Hate the idea of DLC in general
Gonna wait and see if its worth it
Planning on getting it along side BOTW
Indifferent/do not care
Will wait a big for a complete editon if that happens
I don't really care about Zelda, but that hard mode seems a little odd, feels like those "game is not done" DLC's, but again, I don't really care and it will sell well and be a good game, with or without DLC

If they planned for these, they should have added it in to the original game.. This was delayed for 2 years D:

Yea like a few said... You shouldn't fucking talk about DLC if the game hasn't even been released.

-The stuff like a "shirt" is just them padding the bill and is pointless filler.
-Lack of clarity of what the "hard difficulty" is. Is it the actual hard difficulty? Is it a new one?
-Something like "a new feature for the in-game map" sounds like something removed from the game to give it back later.

-I'd also throw in the time frame. The best parts (story) and (dungeon) sound like they are coming a long time after the game will be done.

-Oh and the collectors edition not coming with the season pass (Like FF15 did with the ultimate edition).

Just curious why are people exactly having a problem with this now? Since I don't remember any collectors editon including the season pass. Not even The Witcher 3's collectors editon had and CD Projeck Red is one of the most consumer friendly companies this indsutry.

Less a problem, and I guess just not a good thing? If it came with it - it would be a good thing. Like the deluxe for FF15 came with the season pass. Which I think is really neat.

So it would have been an actual positive thing as opposed to a neutral thing?

Although for some it may be a problem. The thinking being "I'm paying $40 more - I should get more?"

Nothing except the difficulty level -- and even that is a question mark because we have no real info about that. I think people put impossible expectations on Nintendo as if they're supposed to represent everything that's good and pure about gaming just because they make a lot of the best games in the business and oddly get put on a shorter leash compared to other companies because of that. People like to shitpost by saying "it's okay when Nintendo does it" when the reality seems to be more like "it's not okay only when Nintendo does it".  Could they do things better?  Sure, but it's like it's the end of the world and Nintendo should go bankrupt whenever they take a misstep.

Then again, I could just be having a lot of bad luck and seeing more than my fair share of negative Nintendo comments.

I never buy DLC, so it guarantees that I'll probably never be able to play a complete version of it.

They knew what they were buying before they purchased it. If you didn't think what was in the box was worth the price then why buy it in the first place? It just goes to show you how entitled gamers have gotten.

If anything, this just screams "goty edition" later down the line but are you patient enough? That's the real question.

OT: locking difficulty behind a pay wall or like an amiibo is just lame. They should do it like fallout 4, I believe survival was free for everybody and not just season pass holders (I hope I'm not wrong cause I did buy the season pass) Also, just pre-release discussion of it bugs me a bit but it could be worst.

Yes I am. I don't usually get a game till years after a release, though I'll probably get the Wii U version as I assume that it won't get reprinted and might become expensive.

I cant buy them individually. Pack 1 + 3 chests are worthless to me.
