Forums - General Discussion - PewDiePie fired by Disney and Youtube cancels his show

Pewdiepie has been dropping so many bars within the past year alone, and he wasnt even a good youtuber to begin with. He went from screaming at video games to just making random videos for the sake of being random and i guess recently been playing a lot of hentai and anime games? i have no idea, i just glanced at his channel and every 5th video seemed to have something along those lines.

recently he has pulled publicity stunts simply to get more subscribers, complained that getting 3 million views per video was not enough, and now this. how the fuck does this guy have 53 million subs?

Yep. It's annoying. Say what you will about PewDiePie, he is a comedian. You can't be offended by everything.

It's why many comedians refuse to do shows at Universities these days. They know they can't speak "FREELY" and thus refuse to do them.

Heck, Nick Canon just quit AGT because NBC was upset over things he said at his comedy show.

Its about time Canon got fired from AGT a no talented bum like him shouldn't be the host of a show about talent in the first place.  Lets face it his only claim to fame is being Mr Mariah Carey.

He's one of the best hosts out there. Most others are boring and stale as heck. Ever seen Biggest Loser. That girl sucks. Ryan Secrest on all his shows has become the same ol' same ol'. The Voice guy is like watching a bored host from that mtv show (can't recal name)

Don't watch too many reality tv shows, but nick canon is definately one of the better hosts out there.

Nah, he just turns into muslim and everyone will want him to tell anti-semitic jokes. That's just how the world works.

That's how it used to work. Comedians used to only make fun of themselves. Well the good ones still do.

Now you just see them "RIP" on others. Or mostly the white caucasian/christian crowd. Just turn on any late night talkshow, or SNL.

I can laugh at a joke about myself, but when someone is making a joke about me it's not so funny. Like take Obama's angry translator on SNL. The two comedians Key and Peele have no hatred for Obama, they probably even love him, thus their jokes were funny. Now take SNL and their "jokes" about Trump or other politicians. They are all done by people who vocally 'hate' the person they are making fun of. It is no longer a joke in that case. It is being spiteful and mean.

But as for your muslim and telling anti-sematic jokes. highly doubtful. Muslims seem to the be only religion/cultue in the world that can not be joked about for some reason. It clealy can't be because they are a minoritiy, cause there is like billions of them. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that torrism wins. People are scared of making fun of them because they threaten to kill you.

Anti-semitism is hatred (or just dislike, but that's considered hate these days) against jewish. This is something the muslims have been pretty open about. Anti-semitism is considered bad, except when it's muslims in question, it's actually preferred. German Nazis killed millions of jews - fuck Nazis. Muslims want to bomb Israel into dust - fuck Israel.

But yes, I do agree on the other part.

Its comedy. I dont think comedy should be censored. If you dont like it, then dont laugh and move on with your life. Watch the video and judge for yourself.

And how is he being censored? He's not going to jail for his jokes, he can still go out and make jokes like that.

Youtube took down several of his videos according to Peh.

It sucks that Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld don't want to go to college campuses anymore...

Can't tell if this is genuine or sarcastic as who gives a shit about Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld's stand up anymore.

Clearly a lot of people do - Seinfeld's shows have sold out in Australia 1 whole year in advance.

Maybe in your world but in the real world he is mostly known for being Mr Mariah Carey.

"Complain" is hyperbolic, more like he acknowledges that white people are discrimminated against. Also, acknowledgement of discrimmination against white people does not equate to condoning Naziism. That would be a slippery slope fallacy, like an 89 degree incline slippery slope.

But he made Heil Hitler jokes before, so I'm not linking them arbitrarily. And how are white people being discriminated against? I can almost guarantee that it is composed of isolated issues rather than something systemic. Jon's father is Iranian, maybe instead of praising Trump he should call him out for trying to ban people like his own father from coming in merely due to their nationality.

How is anyone being discriminated against? The whole discrimination today is composed of isolated issues rather than something systemic.

Maybe he doesn't want Iranians into US? Perhaps he values the big picture instead of one isolated issue. Besides, considering the list of banned countries comes from Obama, it seems it's the Democrats as much to blame as it is the Republicans.

Wasn't there an on-going joke about Disney hating Jews ?

Would have definitely been an inaccurate joke, given that their CEO is Jewish.  Their previous CEO was too.

They can still hate Jews. Plenty of white people hate on white people.

Maybe it's because not every muslim despises israel...?

There is no such thing as systematic discrimination.
