Forums - General Discussion - PewDiePie fired by Disney and Youtube cancels his show

As much as I disagree with his actions, really disgusting how everyone suddenly becomes the moral police and beats him to death.

edit: he had a really good point. People act like he's rich and wastes it all on useless junk. He has raised millions of dollars for fundraisers. Even if his channel isn't the best one ever made, there's no point in suddenly acting like a superior human being whenever another person makes a mistake. It's disgusting.

It's just that this thread is making me depressed, I try to get through to people and no one listens.

Source? I haven't heard this anywhere. And yes, you are being distracted from the main problem, viewing the immigrants as the problem instead of the politicians.

Ignore the presenter and watch the images. This is what Europe is up against but the media don't want to show it because they think naively things will get better if we don't know about it:

Just ignore it if it doesn't affect you.

I didn't see anything you said, so i cannot really comment. Sorry.

I don't think it's worth debating topics such as these, so I really thought i'd just put my point and leave. The hypocrisy of many people and the media was reflected from this event. Just because neo-nazis begin to support Pewdiepie, doesn't mean he's somehow a nazi. You can obviously criticize him, but going to the extent of calling a person fascist/nazi clearly shows the limited intelligence of many people in current society. The worst I have ever done in a debate is call someone retarded, and yet it seems like every person who does something non-liberal is automatically a fascist or nazi.

Would I support someone if they said "death to all jews" as a joke? Of course not, but using such extreme labels on them isn't fair either. People can be mature, show what said person did wrong, and move on. In the world of social media however, attention must always be brought into it.

Maybe it's not the immigrants that the military are trying to control, but the French citizens themselves? Also, you don't live in French, so wouldn't your last sentence apply to you as well?

I really don't wanna use this argument, but why do so many of the European Americans I see who visit Europe frequently never mention this as a huge issue? During the summer I visited Amsterdam, from the upper class to the lower class and didn't have too many issues (I got tired from all the biking you have to do). Either Amsterdam isn't heavily involved in the issue, or I looked in the wrong places and asked the wrong people.

I guess the only reason I haven't really learned more about the immigrant issue is because both sides of the media apparently show what the media doesn't want me to see. Liberal news stations claim it, conservative stations do it as well- it is a clear mess. As much as I dislike staying ignorant on a subject, I really would prefer to know nothing about it than to only have biased sources.

What did you expect?

Literally the same goes for VGC and some of the users who brandish their "morallity". In the internet people like to start crusades and start whiteknighting. This is why during US elections with SJW bullshitry going on it's hard to even not laugh at the leftists. Heck even the mainstream media is getting too fucking good at it now that they're able to do shit like these. Pulling boycotts for stupid stuff. Hell take for example Tiger Woods. His sponsorship got pulled off just for a leaked private matter? Fucking hell, the guy was good for what he was doing.

Let alone mainstream news."Context" and "Objectivity" in mainstream news are very rare these days. They crucify anyone who clearly made satirical crude jokes just because it soils their security blanket.

I don't even like Pewdiepie's channel but fuck everyone who made such a big fucking deal about this.

Trust me, I didn't want it to be true. I've voted Labour all my life and risked life and limb arguing against homophobia, sexism, racism and supported any other groups that weren't there to defend themselves. I've also lost jobs with the disabled and the elderly because I couldn't just pretend what I was seeing was normal in order to keep my job. I HATE racism, but this isn't racism. It's just that the media are painting it that way in order to justify hiding it away from the masses. Look into it and you'll probably be as shocked as me. You'll come across videos presented by decent people but unfortunately you'll also find videos presented by less savoury characters who obviously have an aggenda. BUT, the sheer weight of 'actual' footage becomes impossible to ignore once you're passed the point of ignoring it.
