The amount of RAM present isn't really what is giving this 7.1 score here but, the processor and memory are listed here.

Have a 10% overclock on that CPU for the better part of 2 years now, PC still runs nice and cool and hasn't blown up yet!

Considering it's a CPU from November 2006 it's still performing rather well but yeah in comparison to the June 2013 GTX 760 inside next to it.. it's a bit of a relic of days gone and is the root of any games issue that I have with my PC atm.

Edit - lol'd not sure if should be happy or sad that my CPU has 1/7th the Transistor count of the 760... wonder could I just remove the CPU entirely and run all processing through the graphics card instead. (please note, humour!)

I thought you might have a Core 2 based rig, the CPU scores were low. :P - I am getting 7.2 on the CPU and Ram. 6.7 on the Graphics, Gaming performance and Hard Drive.
Just upgraded my Core 2 Quad rig from a Q6600 to a Q9650 (It's my spare/backup rig. - Currently my daily driver.)
The extra 50% cache really helps, should give it a few years of extra life, if you can find one on the cheap, do it, or one of the Q9700 chip would be even better.
It's able to out-bench the i7 920 and a few low-end Core i5 Sandy Bridge chips.

Also upgraded the old Passively-cooled Radeon 6570 to a R7 240, which happily overclocks to 900mhz on the core, 1.2ghz on the memory. Performance jumped by 30-50% across the board.

Can't hold a candle to my 3930K though. (Down for a rebuild. Water loops take time.)

If anyone claims you aren't part of the PC gaming master race. Ignore them. It's not about how fast your hardware is, but how much fun you have with your current hardware. Obviously you have fun with your current rig.

--::{PC Gaming Master Race}::--

I find that there is often a PC and Nintendo fans alliance against the Sony fans. It's mostly because the PS4 has the best library this gen.

So far the poll shows that the site Mods are more popular than the PC fanbase here. Way to go Mods! I declare a 48 hour ban moratorium in celebration.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

On VGC we have four major camps, namely PC, Nintendo, Xbox and Sony. How do these fanbases treat each other? That's what the following analysis wants to find out and also why things are as they are.

Firstly, a short explanation of the categories that the relationships can fall into. For simplicity's sake, there are only three:

1. Buddies - Signals that the two camps in question get along fine with each other.
2. Neutral - Generally no strong feelings one way or another.
3. Conflict - Fanbases jump at each other's throats.

Secondly, to determine which category a relationship falls into, timeframes of a single week were evaluated and then an average was taken. This means that occassional quarrels between fanbases are not sufficient to qualify for the Conflict category, and likewise, occasional high fives between fanbases are not enough to call them Buddies.

Without further ado, here's the table with the results:

Fanbases PC Nintendo Xbox Sony
PC - Neutral Neutral Conflict
Nintendo Neutral - Neutral Conflict
Xbox Neutral Neutral - Conflict
Sony Conflict Conflict Conflict -

Finally, the conclusion: PC, Nintendo and Xbox fans all seem to gang up on Sony fans while generally leaving each other alone. In my humble opinion, this is because there's a lot of envy going around because all Sony does is win.

No, my biggest hatred believe it or not is some of the Nintendo Fans on here. They bash Xbox all the time and worse than Sony fans. They say all xbox do is rehashes while you're rescuing the same princess for 30 something years. They aren't as bad recently because xbox one outsold the Wii U, but believe me they will be back during the switch launch to bash xbox once again at full force.  I almost hate them as much as the communist packers. Stupid cheese heads. Anyways I personally like xbox library games the most especially with all the 360 games that hold up to date.

Hmmm fast look on ebay, those are still rather costly, the 9650 I mean, think if I was going for an upgrade at this stage I'll just be migrating over to a new motherboard, something capable of taking a i5/7 just from the point of view of cost even, the 16GB of DDR2 RAM in this PC ended up costing more than I would have paid for the same DD3 RAM but was just wanting to stretch my current PC's lifespan out as much as possible.

But yeah I think now the main part I should think about taking out is the 760, possibly my cosair 520GX psu, guess the case is still fine... and my dvd drive, guess that's the cool thing about PC's when it comes time to upgrade you can salvage a fair few bits from the old gen machine for the new guy. Can't really do that with a console outside of the fact that the ps1/2/3/4 all have used the same figure 8 power lead... except for the Phat PS3 had the PC power lead.

And yeah, not just for gaming but my PC is the core of my entertainment and socializing, also my job is done on it for the most part, also as seen earlier in the thread, 2 years spent at it playing wow.. for better or worse hah.

Well, I'm a Nintendo fan but I also own a PS1 - PS3 and will buy a PS4 someday. Yet still only Nintendo gives me the games I want and knows how to make me happy, and therefore I love them. What I don't like is that every time I say something nice about Nintendo I get accused of being a blind follower and to defend anything and everything they do, which is annoying. If that could stop someday, that would be great.

Wow, this is fairly how I am, except I never owned a PS1, haha..

From what I've seen on the site, this seems overall fairly accurate, haha.
