Do you have any evidence of Nintendo fans doing that on this forum?

It would have been more fun if you found one of the times he did that himself.

I'm pretty sure sane people wouldn't complain about $20. This is content that is being developped after the release of the game, so it's not like you're getting scammed out of content that should have been there at launch.

It took Nintendo 3 years to release a complete edition of Mario Kart 8 by the way, have fun waiting!

Gamers truly are some of the most entitled people ever.

From the looks of it there are enough blind sheep to counteract the people with sense, it seems.

That's mean. You vote with your wallet. If people think it's worth the money, so let them have it

I take it as a no :3

Take it how I said it, the only Mario kart I like is the first.

How you said it, doesn't directly answer my question. Your 6 month approach doesn't work with any Nintendo Game I could list. Nintendo games rarely fall in price and when they do, it will be after several years like that "Nintendo Selects" thing. And even those don't contain all the DLC.

Those are mostly Sony fans complaining, lol.

Your argument is moot, Nintendo are following suit this gen, by the time the season pass ends there will be complete edition, and even if there isn't, it would still be cheaper to buy the game+dlc 6 months down the line than it would at launch, with the bonus of much/all of the dlc being there from the get-go

As long as the content is good i'm fine with with season passes, They give me an extra reason to keep playing/replay games in the future as the content arrives.

Wait how is this preorder tier based culture? This is akin to season pass, don't think you have to pay that day 0 or even day 1.

My view: If the content is good, I will eventualy buy, like I did with Mass Effect DLC, and Grand Theft Auto DLC, and Witcher DLC.

Yeah, how dare I reserve my judgement until the dlc is actually out to see if it's worth the $20.

If anyone is a blind sheep it's you I'm afraid. Blindly following the doctrine that "all dlc is bad and game developers don't deserve to make money from their games!". Development costs have risen tremendously over the years, but the price of games has stagnated for years now. Developers need to recoup the costs of development some way or another to stay in business.

How is waiting till the dlc is out any different than waiting till a re-release that includes it when the whole topic is about season passes?

So you're going to complain about pre-orders as well? Waiting till the actual game or content is released is different to waiting for a re-release that includes everything (because you could wait a very long time).

It's only $20 for crying out loud and some people are already claiming it's the worst thing to happen to the franchise, lol.

Season pass is just another kind of preorder, except it's for dlc content

There is no prime example that this happened, at all. Like I said, Nintendo never did such a thing. They only released an enhanced or complete edtition on a newer or different device like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch or Zelda Hyrule Warriors on 3DS.

Just look at Fire Emblem Awakening and its DLC. There is no complete edition to buy which contains all the DLC. So far, Nintendo is not doing something like that and not even after 6 month.

It's a season pass, S E A S O N, the dlc is spread out across multiple months, if not a year, if you wait to see if all of the content is worthwhile you would be waiting the full duration, which isn't far off just waiting for a complete edition.

You can always get season pass after the content is released.
