The handful of times I've walked into a Wal-mart on Valentine's Day seeing all the last minute shoppers scrounging through all the left over Valentine's Day merchanise is hilarious.  I was there for other reasons of course.

Yay, Valentines day....... Nah, got other things to buy, and I can get chocolates and flowers for my girlfriend at a fraction of the price any other day of the year so no thanks.

Never celebrated it with my ex-GF and never gave a s*** about it. But now it's different, I really enjoy every single day with the woman I'm right now. So, since I cannot buy her a gift(*), I will at least take her to watch Fifty Shades Darker and spend some time together after work.

I think Valentine's day is exactly like the others holidays: it has the importance that you give it. If you have a partner, why not use the opportunity to celebrate your love? If you don't, no reason to be sad. It's just a regular day. Enjoy your friends or family or games. When you do have someone, then you can rethink that. Or not.

* We actually celebrate "dia dos namorados" (boyfriends/girlfriends day) on June 12 instead of Valentine's day, but this is the first year I decided to enjoy both.

I don't have a girlfriend and I think Valentine is stupid anyways. Luckily there didn't seem to be as much fuss about it as last year.

Idk man. If i were you, I would be really careful with church girls. Living under strict parenting often cause some behavior problems. I wont be surprised if she's into bdsm or sht.
