Never digital only. I will go retro when that day comes. My PS4 makes me angry every time I turn it on.

Yeah thats right!  I still don't get why they are expensive as the physical copies.

Because people are willing to pay that much for not having to swap discs! Online movie rentals cost more than physical rental as well. Most physical blu-rays are cheaper than buying a digital movie, and the blu-ray includes the digital version!

That is crazy!

Don't know about elsewhere but I think that's completely legal in the EU. If you've legally purchased the game (and can prove it) then you're entitled to play cracked/pirated versions of it too.

We would have to check this out, but I think it's highly unlikely or, at least, a legal gray area. It's similar to when people say you can play a ROM in an emulator if you have the game, that's pretty much fake. You usually don't buy software, just a license. As physical discs don't have any kind of online DRM, the companies simply couldn't enforce you to stop playing it. But it still is just a license. If the user contract says they can shut it down, they can.

I use to buy physical only, but now games are getting released at 12 the night before and my local stores aren't doing anymore midnight releases.
