You already know this is a bad deal. That's why you posted this. Just trust your gut and don't buy the car. You shouldn't have signed any papers, of course. But, in any case, just say sorry, I don't have the money, and don't go back to the dealership. If they try to tell you that you're obligated since you signed something, just tell them to fuck off and hang up the phone.

Can't they like sue or charge me?

Yeah, call them and tell them you're no longer interested in the car. They are deliberatley trying to push you hard to buy the car but you need to be your own advocate because nobody else will. If they give you a hard time (which it sounds like they will) hang up on them and never speak to them again.

and like I said, did they give you more specific details on the loan itself?

They can't legally use my credit card, right? I purposely let them take a copy of my credit card since it only has $25 on it. They said they wouldn't charge anything on it. They just wanted to ensure that I had something of value to pay with tomorrow. I didn't want to show them my debit card since that has a little over $1K on it.

And no. I was literally told to sign papers because I needed to go somewhere. So that the deal would still be valid they had me initialize stuff. But didn't tell me anything about what I was signing. Which is why I only gave them a card with little $$ on it. Because I didn't feel good giving them my debit card.

Yeah nope. No way would I do business with them.

No, they can't use your card, and you have no obligation to go forward with the deal.

Going forward though, don't sign anything that you don't know exactly what it is.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

this has bad deal written all over it. And its even a Beemer.... there is a saying, you can never buy a "used" beemer or benz, thats because of how high their maintenance costs are. And this is even your first car!!!!

Honestly, I will advice you to go find a Honda. Preferably a civic.

You really need to figure out what you signed.

If you go back tomorrow alone, they are going to pressure sell you into something.  Don't go alone.

Oh man... Im kinda shaky now

Or a Fit! The Fit's a great little car with lots of space that's easy to park and is super reliable.

But what if it was a contract? You're sure I can leave it?

Consumer protections for people buying cars vary from state to state, but it sounds like your financing isn't done yet (since they want you to talk to someone about financing the car over the phone still) So it doesn't sound like your deal is done yet. If the financing falls through for whatever reason (like...you telling the person who calls that the dealership only had you put down $1,000) then they aren't going to be able to actually sell you the car.

Yeah. Okay, so I just have to tell the person (whoever they are) that I never put down $2,400? So thats part of the paper work? Even if Ive signed off?
