Great list, but how much are small indies /ports and multiplatform?

At the end its not that great.
I already got more exclusives on ps4 this 2 months then the entire year for switch.

Stop trying to hype this.

For a console that isn't out yet, it's first 10 month line-up is looking to be the best of any Nintendo home/handheld console in history with proper main line 3d Mario and Zelda games within the same year, which is a first for any Nintendo platform. Not to mention other major games coming within those 10 months such as Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Splatoon 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, Arms, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, etc. As well as a bunch of great 3rd party titles which will be definitive on Switch with it's both Home and Portable capabilites.

Anyway this thread isn't about 'hype' it's just about a factual list of Nintendo Switch games, so if you're getting any hype from this thread it's from yourself and not me.

Is there a list of original exclusive games for the Switch that make an effort to exploit the hardware properly. Not ports from another format, not old, not minor indie titles, not wii u games, not titles that will run better on other consoles etc. Just games you can only play on the Switch making good use of the hardware. How many of those titles would fit that catagory?

You realize that not everything has to be a competition right? Does it hurt to just let people be excited about something?

Ha, the PS4 fanbase seems to have a short memory. PS4 used to be known for "no games", then as you said "indiestation"

Now the ps4 fanbase is screaming that the switch has those titles. The ps4 got those titles after it was released. The switch isn't even out yet.

Yeah I don't care if people don't like the switch that's their opinion, but sometimes the double standard is terrible. For a while the best exclusive of the ps4 was a port of the last of us "but hey Nintendo just has zelda"

Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, Xenoblade 2, Bomberman R, Arms, etc? However I like how it seems to you if it's anything over than that it's not worth noting (I mean wasn't the biggest problem of the Wii U is that it didn't get any 3rd party multiplats?). Btw there is litterally 1 Wii U Port being Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which at least has added content, and every new console gets 3rd party ports just look at the launch of every other console in existance, and I think the exclusive portability feature is more than a big enough trade off for it not running better on other consoles which even then will not run as well on as on PC.

It's a decent line-up, but a lot of stuff are ports and indies. Switch is having a sof-launch, Nintendo will probably announce a lot of stuff at E3 and reach the Holidays with way more force and key bundles.

While I don't agree with his tentative of downplaying, you can't compare this with the PS4 launch. When PS4 launched, its only competition was the X1 (similar lack of games since was just released) and the Wii U (PS4 launched with big games like BF that skipped the Wii U). So it really didn't had any competition to destroy its gaming offers. PS4 also didn't had to anwer questions like "will it have games?" or "will it have GTA?", because it was obvious that it would get all games. These kind of questions are more complicated with the Switch.

The Switch is crashing directly with PS4 and X1 in a year full of games. They also have 3 years of library. It's a way more competent competition right now.
