Forums - Nintendo Discussion - First Zelda Game?

Hello and welcome to Raichu's first I'm your host OfficerRaichu15 and today in honor of the upcoming release of Breath of the Wild we should look back on the first Zelda games we have ever gotten as well as discuss those titles in general and talk about them.

My first title was Wind Waker, unlike other people who were skeptical of the cartoon art style I thought it was a welcoming difference to the series and the world felt massive with many things to do! I got a GameCube with it for my birthday in 04 and have been a Zelda fan ever since.

It was either Zelda 1 or 2. I guess it was 1, but I finished 2.

Ocarina of time 3D.

I Tried playing Ocarina on an N64 emulator when I was younger, and the 18fps killed me, just couldn't do it. I played the first 2-3 hours about 4 times.

Then only about a year ago I finally got it on 3ds, and played through the whole game. A true masterpiece of game design that still holds up to new entrants to the series to this day.

Zelda 1, technically. But what really got me into the series was Link's Awakening DX for the GBC

I wasn't interested in Zelda for some reason until I became older, so Wind Waker was my first. Still the best imo:)

Link's Awakening.

Even played it on a TI-83 HP 49G.

Well mine will be The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, after I play through and complete it I might go back and play past titles starting with Wind Waker HD which is only £14 now, and perhaps Twilight Princess HD as well.

Ocarina of Time on N64 for me. Got a N64 one Xmas with 007 and OoT. OoT was amazing but for reasons I skipped GameCube and Wii, but bought a Wii u so you to say have now completed Windwaker HD and about to finish TPHD. Both fantastic games.

I have a disease, I can't do that.

I have to play Windwaker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword before I can think about picking up BOTW.

I got The Legend of Zelda on NES for my birthday back in the days. But I could barely play it! My mother played it all the time! Seriously, she was addicted to that game! Good times! ^^

Later got Zelda 2 and I liked that one bettet anyway. Never understood why it got so much hate.
