Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Switch doesn't have a "Triangle" button

I really hate it when controllers dont have a triangle button. How am I gonna satisfy my triangle needs if theres no triangle button? Bad move Nintendo.

Well, you don't speak on behalf of mankind, or even the target groups that Nintendo is aiming with Switch. I'm sure they have a bit more experience in hardware decisions and research abilities than regular couch experts.

I didn't claim to speak on behalf of mankind, I was simply pointing out that many people have different gaming needs outside of what Alki sees as their own needs. As for your Nintendo argument, I just have two words for you: Wii U. Their experience and research really paid off there didn't it?

The word game is easy. I have a counter, and it has just one word: Wii. A massively underpowered console that beat everything else and made boatloads of profit in the process. From the same company. It's unbelievable. Two faces of innovation.

.

Why shouldn't people complain about a system that's missing features that it realistically should have?

You seem to forget that both the Xbox One and PS4 had their time where people complained about the features they were missing. The Switch is just launching, and we're just learning about the system, so that's were the focus is obviously going to be.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

What are you doing Nintendo? My God they are so out of touch! This is a feature many gamers will miss, a real game changer for immersion, I was gonna buy the Switch but i just cancelled my pre-order again, will get it only when is 150$ or less.

So we are wrong to question Nintendo's experience and research when they developed the Switch because they got it wrong with the N64, got it wrong with the gamecube, got it wrong with the Wii U, but got it right with the Wii. That's 3 consoles of 4 over a 20+ year period that missed the mark, but we should totally trust that Nintendo currently has its finger on the pulse of the gaming industry because they made the Wii. 12 years ago. Brilliant.

How can I play a game without it?
Does it at least have the square?

I've got some bad news...

These topics are indeed annoying. Where are the following threads:

- PS4 controllers have HD rumble.
- PS4 controllers use  motion camera.
- PS4/X1 controllers don't have an NFC chip.
- PS4 can be played on the go.
- PS4 has touch pads.
- NS don't come with pro controller right out of the box.
- PS4/X1 don't have detachable controllers (See above).

People need to accept that the Switch doesn't do much differently.

You know, I only came here to give lewis a chuckle, but then I saw this above and needed to modify it.

Anyways I'm out, peace.

No, PS4 controllers do not have HD rumble and no you can't play PS4 on the go. You need a PS Vita and constant internet connection for that (which makes it practically useless and needlessly expensive). And let's not pretend like anyone in the West even has a Vita.

Why do you need a pro controller when the joycons are just as good?

Since when is the touch pad a touch screen by the way? And most PS4 games don't even use the light bar, accelerometer, gyroscope and touchpad making the controller needlessly expensive and it drains the battery very fast.

I understand what you're saying but, speaking as a former business owner, you WANT to know why people are declining to buy your product. If that didn't happen, if people just kept their mouths shut and simply turned to another product, then not only would you be left dead in the water but you also wouldn't know which way to turn to improve your position. That is why small businesses have suggestion boxes and large businesses do surveys and spend millions on market analysis.

Consumer complaints drive industries forward and help to refine products and services so they meet the needs and desires of the target demographics. Die-hard fans who spend all their time downplaying all complaints and attacking those who explain why they have a problem with a particular product, they are the ones that create a negative effect. Businesses love loyal customers but they hate customers who foster resentment.
