You have to make a new poll.

I think it'll be around for a long time, however it is kind of biased to not put a "no" option. Just for future reference, when making a poll, consider that other users have strong opinions so cater to those who agree and disagree with you.

yes... but I think people are nervous because of the wii u.

Yes... If Nintendo does what I consider common sense.

At the moment they seem to be doing that.
1. Releasing in March and not Holiday season. (Why cannibalize your launch sales with holiday sales. Console will sell out regardless on launch, so save your holiday boost for no launch)
2. Don't blow your load all at once. Sure launch line-up may look weak, but again it's launch. The system doesn't need a 100 games to sell out. By the time launch hype is dying down new games are coming out and coming out in a steady stream.

Now what they need to do to make this a success, possibly even a huge success.
1. No game delays. Those game release dates need to be hit. Can not delay them, or interest will wane.
2. Show future support past 2017. At E3, they need to show off the system being supported and supported big time. Show off those 2018 releases and not just 2017 games. You can hide the 2019 and beyond games, but show us 2018 at E3.
3. Bring on the handheld games. Get those Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Professor Layton, ect games on the Switch. Main games, not spinoffs. If 3rd parties haven't already told you they plan to do the same, get them to also bring their big handheld hitters like Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest (already coming) and more to Switch.
4. Bring on the Indie's. There are a ton of great indie games out there that they need to make sure don't skip the switch.

If they do those things, the Switch should be successful, regardless if they never see a CoD or Final Fantasy or other huge AAA titles.

I really don't know, i want it to sell well but i have my doubts.

So.. yeah, "i don't know" for me.

I hope so but time will tell. People are excited but we were excited for BvS, too. If Nintendo doesn't fulfill the potential, the momentum they've built could come to a quick halt.

I really don't see any chance for Switch to change things for Nintendo. I think it is very likely that this will be the last device they make before going 3rd party. I thought they had a chance at making something really special, but the lack of 4G LTE, Basic Console/Handheld functions we have had since 2005, and further app support expected on any portable device in todays market pretty much makes me confident that this will only sell to hardcore gamers and Nintendo faithful.

It's a shame that no one is doing this form factor justice, because the Switch and Vita are easily my 2 favorite mobile designs.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

If their other handheld consoles are an indication, there's going to improved versions that will piss off us early adopters and please the masses.

Why waste your guaranteed launch sales by mixing it with your guaranteed holiday sales?

I have always wondered this as well and think mid-September seems like a good time to launch hardware.

You get your big launch sales from early adopters and right when sales start to reach their baseline here comes the holidays to give another big boost.
